Q: Good morning, I have enjoyed and benefitted from my membership to 5I for many years. I am no longer in a position to actively manage my portfolio on a continuous basis and have been considering moving the core to an all-in- one balanced ETF like ZBAL or VBAL. The simplicity and ease of these types of ETF's appeals to me as I age. What are your thoughts on these ETF's and their place in an Seniors portfolio?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I’m a very pleased user of Portfolio Analytics, as well as 5i of course.
Till now, I never changed my allocations using “Custom Allocations”. Previously, I used one of the suggested allocations.
In this era of tariffs, I fear they will throw a monkey wrench into our economy as well as in the US. For example, even though tariffs on steel and aluminum aren’t yet in place, some Canadian firms have already lost orders. “The threat of tariffs is, in itself, a tariff”.
As an example, you recently responded to a member’s question and suggested that the Industrial sector could/would be vulnerable to tariffs.
Please suggest “Trump-proof” sector weightings that takes into account the uncertainty that is rampant with Trump 2.0.
Thanks as always for you assistance in helping us to make informed decisions.

Q: Is GLPI a reasonably good addition to the less aggressive side of a portfolio? GLPI was added to RBC’s Global Top 30 Ideas for 4Q2024 (updated last October). It remains on RBC’s top 30 ideas for 1Q2025 (updated January 6). If GLPI would not qualify as one of your own best ideas, which companies would 5i think of as better ideas for someone with no exposure to real estate? (For a deferred tax account; Canadian taxpayer) :sab:
Q: For a RRSP account in which money will need to converted to a RIF in 6 years which technology stock would you buy today. Please list 2 names.
Thanks

Q: What is A&W projected dividend. In a past question that you answered you stated that it was $1.90 per share but in the report that you just put out the dividend yield suggest a dividend of only $1.50 per share. Which is correct?
Q: With the uncertainty ahead is it time to reduce the industrial holdings first , and then financials if the tariffs kick in?
Q: DR Medical Facilities Corp.

Q: Hi 5i Team - When searching the symbol DEFI I get two results for Defi Technologies, one in Canada and one in the U.S. Does the one in Canada trade on the OTC and therefore would it be preferable to buy it on the U.S. exchange. There seems to be very little info on this company. Could you provide a summary of its operations and fundamentals including your opinion of its potential.
Q: Should I be buying on this dip this morning or wait? Is this a longer term problem or just a one off of bad news for Datadog?
Q: Greetings 5i,
Thoughts on ABX and it's results?
What are your thoughts on the yellow metal for 2025/2026?
Would you ever overweight this sector? When might you do this?
Cheers!

Q: Good morning 5i team,
Could you please offer me your assessment of earnings reports for both ASPN and CLBT as well their financial health and future prospects. Would you be comfortable adding to either stock under current conditions.

Q: Most of my portfolio is split 60% cad 40% usa. Do you have suggestions for ETFs outside of these regions that you think can outpace these regions or add beneficial diversification? Can either be regions or sectors.
Q: Thoughts on earnings?
Specifically I want to ask about these three line items from full year 2024 earnings:
"Total revenue increased 62% year-over-year to $1.3 billion, Ad revenue increased 50% year-over-year to $1.2 billion, and Other revenue reached $114.7 million
Gross margin was 90.5%, an improvement of 430 basis points from the prior year
Free Cash Flow was $215.8 million and capital expenditures were $6.2 million, less than 1% of revenue"
With gross margin being high and Cap-ex being incredibly low; is there something I am missing or is Reddit likely to be very profitable now that the baggage on the books from the IPO is behind them?
How is cap-ex so low? Is that mostly a result of their website having volunteer moderators?
Thanks.
