Q: Could you comment on this morning's press release from Callidus. Is there anything material, or is it just an update that things are progressing as expected. Would you still expect a privatization to occur at $20+. The press release says that "Catalyst Capital Group...remains committed to completing a transaction on terms that will ensure the continued protection of the interests of its public shareholders."
Q: Hi 5i
Have you noticed a '5i Effect'? As an example AIF was at 29.77 Janary 25 and you announced addition to BE portfolio Jan 26. Since then it has gained 9%. I noticed similar reaction on TOY.
Is your subscriber base large enough that we move stocks when you recommend them? Or is it just good timing on your part?
Thanks again

Q: In your reply to member's question in 2016 You mentioned that estimates call for decent growth in next two years 50% followed by 20% or so. Do you still believe that to be the case and would you endorse a buy at current level.

I am looking to do some portfolio rebalancing. I am currently overweight in the following sectors and, therefore, I am looking to reduce my exposure. Which one stock from each sector would you recommend selling. Note that I am 32 years of age and have a medium to high risk profile.
Consumer discretionary: BYD, ATD, CCL, NFI, MG, TOY
Technology: CSU, SHOP, ENGH, KXS, OTEX, SYZ
Thanks in advance!

Jon

Q: May I have your opinion for Urthecast Corp (UR)? Forecasts indicate growing revenue over the next 2 years. Thanks.
Q: Over the last 20 years CNR and KSU have been outstanding performers. CNR up about 2000% and KSU up 7500%!! Both have been better than Birkshire Hathaway. Which would pick for a long hold? Have the metrics of these RRs changed? In particular, does KSU still have the advantage that propelled it 20 years ago? It has lagged of late.
Q: Good morning 5i,
Would it be safe to say that 'executive orders' are also known as 'press releases'? Also should we be worried about debt ceilings and gov't shutdowns in March?
Thanks for the solid service. Gord.

Q: Greetings 5i, first off, thank you for this unique and valuable service. I'm looking to remove my two... shall we say laggards from the portfolio. Three questions;
For Potash, portfolio holds about 3.4%. Is there an upside to waiting short term until the Agrium deal closes? If replaced, I want something in the same sector. What is your top two dividend payers in this sector?
For Cenovus, portfolio holds about 2.4%, I would like to replace with either utility, consumer discretionary or healthcare. What are your top three, dividend paying suggestions.
And what is your top financial dividend payer?

Q: Hi, I am thinking of buying CARA. In the consumer cyclical sector, BPF.UN, QSR & AW.UN are all trading above their 200 day SMA, while CARA is well below its 200 SMA & is trending down in price. What are your thoughts on why CARA is out of favour with investors while other stock prices of companies in the similar business are increasing in value. Thanks … Cal
Q: Hello gentlemen,
My query pertains to CNR. I took in half a position yesterday (2.5%) and was hoping to wait for a pullback within the next few weeks to buy the remaining half. Do you think the rails are too richly valued at the moment ? Given CNR north south trajectory thorough the continent, do you think it's shipments, and in turn it's stock price may be negatively impacted by potential border taxes ?
Please enlighten me as to whether you are of the opinion that a full poisiton can be purchased, and how you would approach. Do you view this as a solid buy? I'm 31, so my horizon is very long.
Thx
KR
