Q: As we move into 2022 I find myself looking for long-term trends that I can believe in and consequently feel safe to invest in. It seems to me that:
1. FINTEC
2. Cyber security
3. Payments
are three such trends. I'm curious if you agree with my three choices and if you do could you suggest a couple of companies in each trend that would be your favourites. Finally, are there other viable long term trends that you think I have missed?

Q: I might have missed it but in reviewing your portfolios I notice these two names absent. I hold them for longer term gains but am wondering now if they may be more risky in an adverse even "bear" market?
Thank you

Q: I have TTD, PLTR, NVDA, PLTR, NVDA, CRWD, APPS, UCTT, CELH, AFRM, MTTR, UPST, VEEV, in my US account, and LSPD, SHOP, EGLX, TIXT in my Canadian (and holdings in other sectors, but these are the holdings in question). I don't need to sell anything, but don't have new funds to deploy in the low market. I had a lot of positions in tech going in and already thinking about consolidating the sector when the market turned. I wonder if you see anything that should be sold, and added to something else to maximize growth when the market turns good again, or if it is better not to shuffle at this point.

Q: Hello Peter,

You used to love palantir’s prospects. Do you still feel the same way about this company and that it will be a future powerhouse in data and to a large extent are in a league of their own?

If so, at what price are you buying? At what price do you love it? And at what price is it a table pounder. I remember last year you loved it at $18.

Q: I was planning on growing my position in these companies during 2022 in my TFSA account. Is there any of these companies you wouldn't invest in or replace for an other company (please indicate witch company you would replace it by).

Also can you say in what order you would rank these companies from highest to lowest, highest being you favourite and lowest least favourite?

Q: Hi 5i team.
Looking for at least 3-5 year and likely longer hold on cybersecurity stocks or ETF. Would invest about 2 % of my equity funds in this.
Need high conviction for longer term capital preservation though I am quite OK with volatility. (A lot of tech stocks currently are relatively on sale.)

What would be your top 2 stocks and/or ETF recommendation? What price would you consider buying in at for your top recommendations.
Thank you so much.

Q: I am interested in investing part of my TFSA in cyber security US/Canada stocks/ETFs.
Are Cyber Security ETF (CYBR-T) and Evolve Cyber Security ETF (CAD Hedged) good buy? Are CrowdStrike (NASDAQ:CRWD) and Palantir Technologies (NYSE:PLTR) good buy at their current price levels and are they high risk/high valuation, strong growth stocks?
Please provide the preference of your choices of three cyber security stocks and three ETFs and rank them, and brief reasons why you choose those stocks/ETFs. Thank you.

Now that the Fed stated that it will increase tapering of monthly purchase & rate hike(s) likely sooner than later. Uncertainity is cleared up for now. Would appreciate u views on each of them. All in the non registered a/c so can be tax loss selling to offset capital gains. Txs for u usual great services & views.

Q: Hi Team,
I sold MRS at a 66% loss in my TFSA. Should I put the leftover money towards PINS, EGLX, PLTR, LSPD or WELL? Please list in order or preference. Or should I wait in the new year with the additional funds that I will add?
Thanks

Q: Hi,
Last year around this time, you were asked to guess a few names in the US or CDN Market that had 100 bagger potential. Some of the names mentioned were WELL, TTD, LSPD, XBC, MGNI, PLTR, VEEV, PINS, KRR, & STC. Just wondering if there were any names you would add or delete from this list? I realize identifying the next 100 bagger is next to impossible, just for some fun.
Thanks

Q: I am looking to offset some capital gains received this year from PEO and PHO (thanks!). Currently I have the following holdings in a loss position, in order of dollars down: TDOC, TV, XBC, HAL, XEG, NFI, SQ, TECK.B, XTC, WELL, ENGH, PLTR. I would need to sell the first six to fully offset the gain, or could sell more if using those in a smaller loss position. How would you rank these holdings in order of selling, and which of these would you look to buy back after 30 days (if any)? Note that these are held within a broad portfolio that I am also looking to consolidate.

Q: Could you give your thoughts on PLTR's growth outlook. We are all well aware that with their stock based comp being very high, debt level, and still being not profitable that they need to grow faster than their stock based dilution or that will be bad news for shareholders. Which is fine if they can pull that off. But mgmt recently said they expect >30% growth for the next 5 years. But then this quarter core growth fell to below 25%. They already fell below the 30% growth rate 2 quarters into their 5 year projected >30% growth. Is this a big concern?
