Q: Great article today re the "Phoenix Market". With that in mind, could you please suggest a US stock or two in each major industry sector that you feel is well positioned for growth in the next 5-10 years that you would nevertheless be comfortable stepping into today? (Even if just half a position) Please feel free to deduct the number of credits you deem appropriate.

Q: I'm interested in the water theme in general. Have contemplated buying CWW but already own AQN (part of CWW) and HEO as water plays. Now that XYL has come down under $100 would you be buyers at this price for a long term hold? Any other water names you like?

Q: Could you name some sectors that will do well in an inflationary situation. Name a couple of stocks in each sector both Canadian and American. Thanks

Q: XYL has beedn dropping slowly. Are there problems? Is it a sell? Would you recommend replacing it with an alternative stock in the same sector?

Q: Happy New Year to the 5i team.

I was hoping to get some feedback about how about to allocate about 11% of my total portfolio that is otherwise well-balanced and is made up of a mixture of Canadian dividend and large-cap stocks, and US and international ETF's.

These purchases will be in my TFSA and I am seeking greatest total return for the next 5-10 years. I am not afraid of risk but am also looking at sound investments rather than speculative purchases or quick trades.

I currently own GH, ISRG, LSPD and XBC and would like to add 4-5 more names. On my short list are the following: CRWD, MITK, ROKU, TTD, TT, U, VEEV and XYL.
Are there any from that list that you think match up well with my existing stocks? Alternatively, if you think there are better names that I haven't mentioned please advise.

Q: Good afternoon, I am wondering if you could provide 4 or 5 top Canadian or American non-tech suggestions for our 2021 TFSA purchases. I noticed Xebec in one answer but would this be considered "tech"? I also have a second question. I sold half my shopify some time ago and of course, it has continued to run up. Would you trim again or would you just enjoy the ride at this point?

Thanks to your suggestions, I am considerably up in tech. I bought lemonade awhile ago and am planning on selling tomorrow. I also own Crowdstrike and I am thinking of adding to my positions, although with the recent gains, I am thinking of maybe holding off. If you could please suggest a momentum growth stock that maybe hasn’t been getting attention lately, or if it is better to hold off till after tax selling in January. Love 5i! Q: According to Portfolio Analytics, I'm underweight in Industrial, Consumer Defensive, Utilities and Energy. Can you please give me three names to consider in each category? I'm also overweight in North America so, to the extent that there are good international names in these categories, please include them. I have a fairly long investment horizon: 5 years until my children hit post-secondary and 20-30 years before retirement.

Q: My two US industrial companies just reported. The SYX results looked quite good to my inexperienced eye. Not so sure about XYL even though it was advertised as a beat. XYL basically has not beaten earnings in the last year or so and I am wondering if there are better US opportunities. I do hold SIS, TFII, CAE and WSP but overall am a bit underweight industrials. Any suggestions?

Q: XYL had pulled back almost 30% since its highs in February. I understand its one of your favorite industrial (water theme) stocks. Would you please shed some lights on why it didn't bounce back like most stocks did since March 8. Also is it a good time to add to a half position?
