Q: I've owned XYL for a year or so now and am about even on it. It seems to me to be doing a wonderful job at just about everything it does and yet it seems to be a volatile trader without much overall price improvement in the past 12 mos. I'd like to add more (currently @ 3% of my portfolio) but am waiting for it to go up and stay up...what am I missing?

Q: Greetings 5i,

My question is twofold, so please deduct two credits if you see fit.

Given its obvious importance, I am looking to gain exposure to the theme of sustainable water management. My research has led me to XYL as a potential single position, or to PHO as an ETF option. This addition would be weighted as a full position (5%), and would be held long-term (likely 10-20 years).

I am 36 years old, debt-free, and relatively conservative. My investment portfolio is solely for the purpose of expediting my retirement, and I will have no need of its funds for the foreseeable future.

Given my situation, would you favour a single position such as XLY, or would an ETF seem more appropriate at this time? Furthermore, do you feel as if XLY and PHO are indeed strong representations of the water theme, or is there another option you might suggest?

Thank you.

Q: Sold FB and have some US$ to spend, can you provide 3 of your current favorites that may provide short term upside from down south please - higher risk is fine? Of the two I provided, which would you choose and why?

Q: I am already overweight in tech, fintech, consumer staples and healthcare (which includes SIS) and underweight in industrial and financial sectors. Do you have any industrial or financial suggestions in either Canadian or USA growth stocks to help even out my portfolio please?

Q: Hi team !
In order to beef up my industrial sector, I am looking for one or two names with the best growth potential, moderate risk for a 2-3 years time frame.
In addition to the names listed above, I am looking at NV5 Global (nvee) and Arcelor Mital (mt). Feel free to suggest other options.
Grateful if you would formulate your recommandations at this time with the reason why and your preference. Do you own any of these stocks ?
Please deduct credits as you see fit.
A grateful Montrealer,
Jacques

Q: Hi,
We have owned PHO for many years and I was planning on adding it. However over the past 5 years it has been rather choppy and not as consistent compared to xylem. Should we stay with PHO or switch into a different water stock? If you were me what would be your top choice in this sector? Looking for growth and consistency with 10 year plus time frame. Thanks
Kerri

Q: Hello team,

What would you suggest for water and solar themes. I have looked at XYL and SolarEdge (SEDG). I am looking for GREAT companies with low debt and good management and positive shareholder history. What do you think of these two companies. I welcome any other suggestion you might have for better plays out there and for a very long term hold.

Thanks a lot as always for your great work.
