Q: Hi Team,
Yesterday I read a headline on bnn stating that Apple, Affirm to join to buy now, pay later for Canadian purchases. GSY is partnered with Affirm (the old paybright division). I thought it might be very bullish for business for GSY being partnered with affirm which is now teaming up with the giant Apple. Yet, there was no reaction today for GSY or affirm stock on the partnership today. Can you give your take on this, as to whether this is a potential catalyst for GSY or not? Thanks.

Q: With recent earnings releases for the above companies completed did anything specifically surprise you or excite you about their futures more so then before? Specifically Microsoft PayPal visa and Facebook.

For Google, it’s revenue growth was massive (68%) for a company it’s size and YouTube contributing almost the same revenue this quarter as Netflix was crazy to me. With ads growth via search not going away and cloud being a big focus for them I don’t see many things stopping it…
What do you see as the biggest risk for it specifically other then the big scary Antitrust breakup?

Gibson Energy (GEI) has been quoted as being open to a sale and Keyera (KEY) has been mentioned as the next midstream target for a consolidation in the industry. Now that Pembina Pipelines (PPL) has walked away from the IPL takeover, do you see PPL looking at Keyera and/or Gibson Energy (GEI) as potential takeover targets? Thanks

Q: Hi 5iresearch team, you guys have been doing excellent job helping investors with their investment discussion.
My first question about Sll but changed the symbol to SLI, since it’s listed on New York stock exchange, my investment is gone up double, I company doesn’t have any revenue yet, please advise me what should I do?
Second Question is about DND. TO, the private take over deal is $50.50 for each share but share price is not close to that deal price so could you please me when is expired date for that?

Q: Hi Team,
I am currently holding PPL in a cash account for energy exposure and as one of my few dividend plays. I like the company, but I am also looking at buying either of or all 3 of MG, BAM, BEP but I would need to raise cash to do so. Over the long term (10yrs), even though PPL div is much higher, which of the names listed do you believe to have the highest potential total return? Would it be advisable to sell some PPl and diversify into one of the other names listed? If so which would you buy today, or all of them? Thanks again

Q: I have held FIH.U for several years now and although it has snapped back nicely from it’s covid low, it is still well below where it was trading 3 years ago and has for the most part been a disappointment. I’m OK hanging on to it but am also considering tendering to the Dutch auction as a good way to exit. If one were to tender their shares, at what price point between the $12.50 - $15 range do you feel would be the sweet spot where you get the highest price yet still have a high likelihood the shares will end up being purchased by the company?

My question is about DND.TO, the management had a offer to take this company private and offer price is $50.50 but share price of this company has not been reached and bounce back and forth between $46 to $48, what is the expire date for this?
