Q: Dear Peter et al:
Both NBIS and SMCI report earnings in early November. (7th&10th)
What are your predictions?
I own positions in both, more so in NBIS than in SMCI. BUT not full positions.
I am particularly worried about SMCI as they are notoriously known to report spurious numbers and get "whacked"! But the price seems to hold steady. If anything it seems to be going up slightly.
NBIS has been drifting lower. Is it because Smart money is expecting bad news? Or people locking in their profits?
Tempted to write cash secured puts for NBIS. An easy way to add IMHO. What Strike Price would you suggest for Nov 7th expiry?
(I know I will get assigned if the earnings report goes ugly!)
Many thanks for your words of wisdom.

Q: I have held SIS for 10+ years what do you see for earnings growth over the next 1-3 years. Thanks
Q: Dear Peter:
On surface this looks like a simple and even a "dumb" question. However I am struggling with this question as it impacts on not just my portfolio but almost everyone's!
What is a Bubble? Are there any acceptable definitions of a "Bubble"? Is Bubble a Technical Analysis based concept or a Fundamental Analysis based concept? Do they share any similarities? Is a Bubble applicable to all of the market or is it confined to just one domain? (Gold is in a Bubble but not Silver, not yet) Finally is the definition of a Bubble Static or Dynamic phenomenon? In other words what was a Bubble in 2000/2001 (dot com Bubble) is NOT a Bubble now!(AI phenomenon?)
Financial media gives a lot of opinions filled with "hyperbole"! "Sell now" we are in a Bubble! Others say, "No, wait till Gold hits 6000"!
It is important as one needs to sell or add in a prudent, well thought out and rational manner. Hence this question.
If you think this behooves not an answer but an article, so be it. I will wait! No problems.

Q: Hi Folks,
I am looking at selling ISRG (-7%) or TELUS (-23.50%) and CNQ (-22%) from my Non Registered account and use the money to fund next years TFSA contributions. I would like your opinion as to what order you would sell and whether these are re-buyable in January.
Thanks

Q: I recently came across some news about this company, namely that it had suddenly terminated a strategic review to maximize shareholder value, and instead has sold a $60M asset with the intention to distribute the proceeds (0.90 on a $1.35 share!) to its shareholders. You have just one (older) question on this company. Can you comment on it in general, and also specifically on this procedure: how this might benefit the company and what will happen to its valuation?

Q: I have 16.6% of my RRSP currently sitting in cash, from accumulated dividends and some contributions I never got around to deploying into the equities markets. Can you give me two names (US or Canadian equities) that I could spit this amount between, to purchase? Many thanks.
Q: In looking at a long term chart for AC it appears there is some seasonality to the stock's price, with the price peaking in January. In my experience air lines do not make good long term holds but there appears to be a potential to take advantage of the stocks seasonality. Please confirm if my observation is correct and provide your thoughts on Air Canada's current financial health and near term opportunity for growth. Thanks.
Q: Hello Peter & Team,

Q: I want to raise a bit of cash for a balloon payment on my mortgage. I can sell BCE at a loss, which would offset good gains earlier this year. Alternately I could sell NTR for a slight profit. I also own a bit of Telus (also at a slight loss) but no other Ag stocks.
Which would you be inclined to sell?
(PS - had some trouble getting website to accept this question; please ensure it only appears once in your queue)

Q: Gold miners witnessed a first noticeable pullback of 6-7% on Friday, after almost going up in straight line for several weeks, although Gold bullion was down only fractionally. It looks like, after a spectacular run, the sector may be exposed to additional drawdown, at least in the near term. Do you agree ?
Could you please suggest some near term support levels, for AEM and XGD, from technical perspective, in order to take advantage of this pull back to add to a position.
Thank You

Q: What are your thoughts on this company?
Q: Is there a solid business here- do you think an investor buying at these low prices will be rewarded? If Plantro gives up an sells its shares I am thinking if they can find a single strategic purchaser it might be a catalyst.
