What happens on the futures market if one want to buy/sell an option when the price is negative?

Q: They recently announced that there will be shifting 20% of their investments to future contracts that expire 2 months out, how do you see this effecting how the etf reacts to oil prices. I have invested in this fund recently to play the oil recovery over the next year or so, should i shift my approach to this investment?

I am not surprised that the stock market (especially in the US) rebound nicely. However, I have deep concern that the US is going reopen its Economy quickly. I think they will make the Economy worse if they reopen too early without mitigation plans. (e.g. testing, isolation, tracking for broader population). I also concerned about the magnitude of QE everywhere in the world. I am NOT a fan of gold. I don't believe its value. The bond yield is historical low and next to negative. I feel there is nothing I can invest safely. I would like to place 30% of my retirement fund into something safe with a long term growth that can beat inflation at least. I feel I am stuck with the stock market. What is your opinion?

RATE RESET PREFERRED SHARES
The interest rate on rate reset preferred shares is set every five years by adding to the spread the interest rate of the 5 years Canadian government bond.
What happens if the the 5 years government bond is set at a negative rate?
For instance, the interest rate spread on BAM.PR.Z is 2.96%.
On December 31, 2022 a new interest rate will be set for BAM.PR.Z. Lets assume that the interest rate on the 5 years Government bond is negative on December 31, 2022 at -.5 %.

Will the new rate on BAM.PR.Z be 2.46% (2.96 minus .5) or will be set at 2.96% ??

Q: On April 17, HR.UN announced various responses to the current crisis (including credit facilities well in excess of its mortgage encumbrances), a distribution in line with its previous payouts, and deferred development projects. Do these argue for its keeping the dividend intact?

Q: 1) What is their burn rate? I can't seem to find.
2) Am i correct in seeing that they are net cash 200m?
3) Aren't these companies at a significant advantage? They have essentially been short the market... and being short the loyalty market puts them at an incredibly advantageous position.

Q: You've mentioned Boyd as one of your favorites a number of times lately, and I'd like your reasoning. This doesn't appear to be a cheap stock, by any means, with a forward PE of 96 (G&M). Moreover it's in the business of servicing cars which are mostly in their garages and parking spots these days. Is this a forward view to next year, because I am expecting its next quarterly report to be absolutely dreadful.

Q: I am looking to begin to sell puts on the scarier parts of the US economy. Not the scariest, so no cruise lines, but airlines, entertainment, hospitality, automakers, restaurants would be fair game. I can't even look at Tesla and I know that LUV has been your preference among US airlines. Given that the chief criteria of this trade is that the company survive is LUV still your preferred recommendation among airlines? Can you recommend any other beaten down stocks in these sectors that you are reasonably sure will come through the other end of this, whenever that is. Was the HR Real estate investment trust in one of your portfolios at one time ? If so, when was it removed and why ?

Can you suggest any pure play energy pipeline ETF, in Canada or the US.

Q: I owned PPL for a few years, and with the sell down of late, I'm interested in adding to my position.

However I'd like your view on: 1. does PPL have sufficient cash flow to maintain the current dividend payout? 2. what about the counter party risk that drove down the share price, how real/or likely is it, or is it just the usual market panic?
