Q: HUT corrected quite a bit over the last few days, especially yesterday. Is there a specific reason for the decline? Is this a good company to play bitcoin if one thinks it will rise over the next year?

Q: I expected an announcement from Flutter today about our PDYPF shares. Is there going to be a "forced sale" of our shares on Jan. 29 or will they be converted to the NYSE listed shares. What do we need to do if we want to retain the shares? If there is a forced sale, who pays the commissions? In short, what's happening that shareholders need to know?
Q: I think questions about SCORE (SCR) are dragging Strathcona Resources (SCR) into the discussion. While owning an oil company might be a form of gambling I believe this is in error.
I would be interested in your opinion of the Oil Company, SCR - Strathcona Resources.

Q: May I have your thoughts on SNPS and their acquisition of ANSYS? Since some shares are being issued to finance the purchase should I wait to see if the stock declines before taking the plunge? The market seems to like the purchase as SNPS's shares went up instead of declining when the deal was announced. The stock price was fairly steady until 2016 when it began a steep climb up, what changed? Or was it us, the buyers, whose attitude to their business changed? Is their business model very similar to NVDA or in a different niche?
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jim

Can't see any news reason for it do you? Or simply, just a bounce back from oversold?
Thanks

Q: You answered my question about Linde and the kinds of materials you expect to be in demand in the future. Could you please match up some company names to your suggestions? As a reminder, here is part of your response:
"Materials which we think might be in great demand in the future include: lithium and cobalt (lithium-ion batteries for EV and renewable energy storage), graphene (exceptional strength and conductivity), and advanced alloys (aerospace and automotive industries)."
Thanks,
V

Q: Dear 5i team.
As I read through the recent Q's on the merits of owning laddered bond funds vs long bond funds (CLF/CBO vs XBB/XLB) couple of f/ups for you. Assuming rates have peaked, and downward is the consensus:
1) What is the upside for CLF vs XLB for example. How much of a move in bond prices would you estimate for each 50 BP move? (can you do same exercise assuming rates move higher?)
2) Since you like both XBB/XLB for long bond exposure, can both be owned, or should one be sufficient?
Many thanks for your help to understand the risk/reward here.

Q: I am interest in expanding my oil and gas investments to the service side of the oil and gas sector. Would you be able to compare three drilling companies that I am considering. I am interested in PD and NBR for on shore drilling and RIG for offshore. I would prefer a company that is profitable or projected to be soon. The focus is on growth and less on dividends. A fair amount of risk can be handled. Please compare information on these three companies.
