Q: I still own wild and have great confidence in the former Disney executive changing things around. They own the family channel and are coming out with a great line up of movies in May—Good for all of us isolating at home. Do they make money by having more subscribers? How else do they make money? I thing at .80 cents this stock could be a multi bagger if things go right. What do you think.

Q: Hi Team,
Just to comment on risky short term trading vs long term view. Tuesday Apr 28, during trading hours, Ford was up near 4% to the close while Google was down about 4% all moved along with broad index, looks like 8% trade move in between, right after the close, Ford came out with projection of revenue down X billions in next Q, while GOOG put out "ONLY" 13% on revenue growth in the past Q, also sticking with share buybacks. share of Google are up 9% next day. Ford was at same as yesterday close, could have crashed more if.... Wondered WHO are the "INVESTORS " traded or made those moves, imagined one sold Google on the way down and bought Ford on the day up 24 hours ago. FOMO or Logical ?

Q: Hello
In support of Carl’s inquiry re zwb vs zeb performance similarity......I was watching the same positive correlation despite so many being negative on covered calls in up market.
Firstly, Carl should go to BMO etf website where they have an excellent webinar explanation of how the cc etf zwb, ZWC have been managed to benefit investors during the up side of the market.
Secondly, as it was explained......the simple answer to positive upside correlation (may not be permanent)..... It was achieved through extending out the option strike price to avoid shares being taken away, while at the same time experiencing the same or higher option premiums. The option premiums expanded and they played it well.
Active management in volatile market paid off in this case.

Q: Just a fyi: In your answer to Camille yesterday I believe you overlooked the 3 for 2 split which took place April 1. This may be why she thinks BAM is down 50%.

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
-
Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BIPC)
Q: Since BIPC and BIP.UN own the same assets, have the same dividend, and BIPC is convertible to BIP.UN on a 1:1 basis, then why does BIPC trade at about $1.50 more than BIP.UN?
Q: This is a wild market which has rebounded well beyond my expectations since the March 23rd lows. Do you subscribe to this resurgence which seems at odds with reality? I know the market looks forward but, geez this is really optimistic...
What do you think?
Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i,
Regarding ZWB- Bmo covered call utilities.
TD webroker shows yearly dividend to be 7.86% at 0.95/share.
I am trying to understand where this number comes from, since another chart, available in webroker, indicates actual monthly payment of .06 cents/mth x 12 months = .72 cents.
Can you shed some light on this for me ?
Thx.

Q: Would EMP.A 's recent pullback be profit taking in recent uptick of market-numbers seem good ?
Q: Revamping my 70 year old partner’s portfolio, looking for income and modest growth.
Being quite overweight in financials, wanting to exchange some or all of these positions: MKP, AI, TF, ZWB. Add to my BNS (currently 2%), and diversify into other sectors.
Is it worth keeping any of the Mortgage related MKP, AI, TF? Is FSZ lower risk? US banks/ETF?
I expected the upside of ZWB to be significantly less than ZEB, but when I compared the charts they seem like two dogs chasing the same ball, never far apart. Very similar up and downside, is that your view also?

Q: I noticed that Trisura has a potential run up in the bid / ask (~$6) compared to last night's closing price ($38.02 - 38.50 range). Over the past 4 - 5 months there has been insider buying yet, I cannot find news short of calling them directly. They seem to be immune from work stoppages unless a contractor goes bankrupt. In the Corporate Insurance, segment, there could be a slowdown in top-line growth though they have a good renewal business. Their policies do not cover business interruptions from the pandemic. Also, given that they are a wholly owned sub of Brookfield Asset Mgmnt., I have a good comfort level and am considering moving to a full position. May I have your thoughts?
Thank you

Q: Hello,
How have mutual funds performed during the corona virus sell off. Can you name some mutual funds stand out in its solid performance in the fixed income side and equity side. Which have outperformed due to active investing by smart mangers at reasonable MERs? I currently do not own any mutual fund but I am willing to consider a good bond fund and a good international equity fund. Thanks.
Regards,
Shyam

Q: I'd like your opinion on the Canadian residential housing market, with respect to REITs. I invest in some REITs and I heard that the share prices of REITs have fallen far more than the underlying value of the houses or apartments that they own. But, there aren't very many sales going on right now in the real estate market, and this has me wondering if we're going to see a lot of properties hit the market (when things get back to "normal") because owners may now be strapped for cash.
Q: Good morning guys:
In layman’s term to an average Joe investor, what is going on here ? Why are the markets going north with the economy in a pandemic. I can see the stock market going south real quickly . Can I get your expert opinion on what’s taking place here..
thank you for doing such a great job during this difficult time for all clients
