Q: I was pleased with the recent quarterly results and you say you are "comfortable" with them. So, why is the stock dropping so much today?

Q: From Google on the difference between BIP.C and BIP.UN
The key difference between is that BIPC's dividend qualifies for the Canadian dividend tax credit, whereas BIP. UN's distribution consists largely of foreign dividend and interest income, Canadian interest and return of capital
Which one is better to keep in an unregistered account (taxwise)?

- Canadian Utilities Limited Class A Non-Voting Shares (CU)
- Emera Incorporated (EMA)
- Keyera Corp. (KEY)
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
Q: Could you please rate the following companies with respect to risk for inclusion in my TFSA. They are listed as to yield from highest to lowest. KEY/GWO/CU/EMA/BIP.
Q: Any reason why BIP.UN's unit price today took such a big dip?
I noticed three fairly large trades, two today (311.4K at 9:30am and 133.6K at 3:30pm) and also one yesterday before closing (84.5k at 3:30pm). Some major holder(s) decided to exit, or what's the story? Today's total volume at 1.25million shares is also well over the daily average of 250K.
Know anything that happened? Thanks.

Q: If you were to only hold one utility which would you choose? Would FTS or BIP.UN be one of them? If so, which would you select between those two for total return?

- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)

Q: Hi Folks,
I have decided to sell AQN from my RRSP account. Can you suggest a possible replacement. Looking for something with a good safe growing yield. I also hold BIP.UN and FTS.
Thanks,

Q: What are your analysis of the results published yesterday? The market seams to have liked them (+3.56%) but I fail to see what is the big hoopla on what appears to me simply ok results.
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
- Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BIPC)
Q: I have RRSP, TFSA and NREG accounts. I'm looking to buy Brookfield Infrastructure Corp in each. Is there a difference between BIP versus BIPC and does it matter which I hold in each of those three accounts?
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
- Triton International Limited (TRTN)
- Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BIPC)
Q: BIPC took a huge drop on Wenesday while BIP.UN dropped very little. Do you have an explanation? Thank You.
Q: BIP.UN TAKEOVER OF TRITON INTERNATIONAL , JIM CRAMER SAYS HE LIKE THE DEAL. WHAT SAY YOU AND DO YOU AGREE IT IS A GOOD DEAL FOR BIP.UN.?
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)

Q: Do you know the reason that BIPC and BIP.un have been heading in different directions since the beginning of February. I thought that they were supposed to mimic each other. I own BIP.un for the yield in a tax sheltered account but maybe I should switch. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor. Following up on your answer to my earlier question. I hold AQN in an RRSP and am considering replacing it. You suggested the following stocks = PPL, NPI, BEPC, BIP.UN, BLX
I have researched their metrics (P/E, Beta, P/B, P/CF, P/S, ROE, Payout, Market Cap) and technicals. My ranking, based on a desired conservative holding, Is = PPL, NPI, BEPC, BIP.UN, BLX.
My rationale is I hold FTS, TRP and AQN representing 8.6% of my portfolio vs NNRG and NRGI at 7.3%. I am leaning towards adding a more conservative name...such as PPL.
Q#1 = Is there an overlap between TRP and PPL, to the point that I only need one? What % do each of these names have in Nat gas vs oil? I know TRP is heavier to NG, not sure about PPL.
Q#2 = based on my above notes, what would your suggested ranking be?
Thanks....Steve

Q: Many companies have become addicted to low interest rates over the last decade. Assuming that interest rates stay where they are for years to come (a rate once considered somewhat "normal"), do you see any problem with any of these blue chip stocks maintaining their dividend ? I'm sure over the course of the next 5 years or so some of these companies will need to renew debt at higher rates.

Thank you

Q: I have owned these stocks in my non-registered account for 12 years except ETF IGM, T, CTC.A (bought 2 yr ago - up a fair bit). T bought 5 years or so ago. GSY, MFC & GRT.UN a year ago - all 3 up nicely. I buy dividend growers for the most part. I have been retired for quite a while - so, more interested in dividend growth. Large portfolio with banks 40% of total. Do not worry about market downturns: add to positions when they go on sale -08/09 and 2020. Sitting on cash and looking to add to these positions . Do not own ENF.CA - typo. Suggestions?? IFC 5-6 years up 220% including dividends.
Q: Hi 5i,
As a follow up to a dividend question yesterday on PPL: apart from changing the dividend from monthly payout to quarterly, is the dividend also been switched to CAD dollars only? I hold company in taxable, US side of account as part of US dividend portfolio.
If the dividend is indeed being paid ONLY in CAD, can you recommend a replacement Canadian company of similar quality, similar yield that pays in USD? Any sector ok…

Q: Hi - looking to add a utility to an otherwise diversified portfolio. Please rank the companies listed in terms of potential total return over the next 5 years+ and whether current valuations are presenting a good entry point?
Q: Can I have your analysis on these two companies recently announced earnings and your overall opinion on these two securities.
