Q: I have a roughly equal weighting in BNS, LB, RY, TD and POW with no single stock much over 3% of my portfolio. With POW getting swept up in some euphoria over anticipated future improvement in its management, would it be wise to exit now on the wave and reinvest the proceeds in one or two of the financial stocks that I already hold?
Q: Why is NFI considered a Consumer Cyclical and SIS considered an Industrial? I might almost see them the other way around since consumer purchases of SIS's products would seem somewhat cyclical according to the propensity of individuals to make major commitments to their lines of products. Purchases of NFI's products would be driven by municipal budgets which might be more stable in good and bad times.

Q: Why si High today?
Q: I asked the following question earlier this week: "I was a shareholder of Enercare and received Exchangeable LP Units on BIP.UN's acquisition of Enercare. When the Exchange Corporation is created - will I receive 0.11 BIPC shares for each of the Exchangeable Units? (I have asked BIP.UN the same question but have not received an answer yet)"
I have now heard back from BIP.UN Investor Relations and they have advised that only holders of the regular units of BIP.UN will receive the BIPC shares and that in advance of the split (1Q 2020) that I could exchange the Exchangeable LP units for BIP.UN units. I checked with my broker (RBC Direct) and they confirmed that there is the option to exchange now and that I need to advise them by 12/27. I have also asked BIP.UN if the exchange of Exchangeable Units for regular BIP.UN units is a "non taxable event" but have not heard back from them yet.
Thanks

Q: Hi, any particular reason for the near 5% increase in TA the morning. Thanks.
Q: I am a recently retired income investor with a diversified portfolio that includes 14 Reits totaling about 15% of my portfolio. While they have done well over the last couple of years (especially in the last 6 months), they have been declining in unison recently. Do you think that this is the start of a rotation away from REITS and into more growth stocks, or simply some short term profit taking? How do you feel about REITS overall as an income strategy?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Would you comment on this fund...pros and cons ?

Q: Hello,
I want to add fixed income to balance my portfolio and will hold it in a cash account. I'm targeting 15% fixed income with > 10 year hold.
1. Are the ETF's in the income portfolio appropriate? or should I have more concentration? Or a different selection?
2. If > one ETF do you have a weighting suggestion?
3. Will these be taxed as income or dividends?
Thanks!
Dave

Q: I think HXS and ZWH have similar assets.
Do you agree ? Because I carry forward capital losses, I think I should buy HXS because it pays no dividend, and I can apply future capital gains against losses accumulated. Looking at the performance of both funds, I should do better buying HXS, does this make sense. Also please comment if one or both of these funds are worth buying at this time .
Thanks
