Q: Happy NEW YEAR Peter &RYAN
Hypotheticaly would CSU make a take over bid for SHOP and if so; would the bid have to be in excess of 30% of SHOP'S last price for SHOP to accept .

Q: To date, I have not moved out of RHT yet. It only makes up 1.09% of my overall portfolio. Do you see any sense in holding it?
If not, what are your replacement recommendations for the technology sector? Do you still see CSU as an option?

Q: Would you buy constellation or kinaxis ? Or share the allocation 50 / 50 between the 2 ? Buy and hold for 10 yrs. Can you please also explain why ?

I have owned Descartes for a few years and did well.... tks to you ! Is it a good time to add ? Or should i just buy more of constellation or kinaxis ? Thank you for your comments and happy holidays to the team !

I have followed CSU over a few months now.
I know that you are very reluctant talking prices makes this question probably frustrating
So this is my question:
/Which of csu or engh do you prefer?
If you prefer csu,
1/ do you think it is over/under or properly valued at $886
2/ in case of a economy/ markets breakdown, from your experience, can it drop another 20%

Q: Hi, I currently own Et ,Otex ,Pho, Shop, SYZ, and i’am thinking of selling two or three and buying Csu.
I will be doing this for a more stable and overall better portfolio if or when we get a further market downturn.
Is my strategy sound? And which two or three would you sell? I would also be open to sell four and keep two of the best if this works.

Q: Hi
What would the BE portfolio performance be without CSU Constellation Software be as holding over time? What if it was a company listed outside of Canada. With this thought, are there any companies outside of Canada that you would consider the same caliber as CSU (same sector is not important to me)? Sorry for the outside of Canada question but I am hoping to add some diversification over the next few years.

Q: I would like to buy NFI, but have to sell something else to do it. After looking at all of my holdings, I think it should be CSU, or OTEX. I have other tech holdings, but want to hold on to those. I am about about even with the two tech stocks so there is no tax gain/loss. I realize it is changing sectors, but I like the dividend. Do you think there would be more growth in the future by replacing one of the above tech stocks with NFI? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

The Info Tech component of equities in all our accounts is 16.2%. The following stocks and ETFs are held, followed by their weightings:

CSU 7.1%
ENGH 1.4%
KXS 2.2%
OTEX 2.3%
SYZ 1.0 %
TXF 1.9%
XIT 0.3% (used to put small amounts of cash since there's no commission with iTrade)

Would it be prudent to trim CSU, and if so, to what level?
What is your opinion of the other holdings, and are their weightings appropriate?
Are the Info Tech holdings too high a percentage of the overall portfolio?

Q: Thinking of selling a portion of holdings the above to buy XQQ.
Some are in my cash accounts and the in my RRSP.
The tax loss and gain is zero in my cash accounts.
Gain a bit of D/E and get US exposure.

Q: Hi Peter,

I am trying to understand CSU's high P/E ratio which I see as 55-60P/E from one site to another. Please help me understand:
Q1 2018 = $8.50 EPS
Q2 2018 = $7.42 EPS
Q3 2018 = $8.95 EPS
Q4 2018 = $9.54 EPS (projected)
Total for the year = approximately $34.41. Current price is $912; therefore $912/34.41 = 26.5 P/E rather than the 55-60?

Q: What is your pick presently for the best managed company for the best price? Or put another way...Is there a well managed company on sale right now? Q: Good morning team,

Just a few quick questions regarding CSU's guidance for 3Q. Did they comment on it in June and if yes did they increase or decrease it? By how much? And what it the street consensus for 3Q quarter? Given its incredible unusual fall, would you be a buyer today or would you wait until their ER. I am trying to be cute and buy before the possible jump which I think should happen after they beat again.
