Q: Nvidia has been a ten bagger for me and I’m obviously ecstatic with this momentum. I’ve trimmed with my original stake at just under 100.00. It’s about ten percent of my portfolio. I know you don’t advise on individual portfolios but might it be wise to trim more and diversify further within the sector with Oracle! I also own Vertiv Holdings. Thanks. Your support and knowledge have been tremendously helpful over the years.

Q: If as Satya Nadella says we are moving from being chip constrained to power constrained, what are the best stocks to play this theme? Would you look to data center power and cooling innovators or renewable energy and storage companies or something else?

Q: Hello 5i,

We are in sync with the theory that hardware stocks will slow down and software will be the next phase. Which stocks from this group would you purchase today if not owned. We will assume that those not mentioned may be purchased on a pull-back. Of the list, are there any stocks that you would swap out for another stock?

WMT, NVDA, VRT, FTNT, GDDY, EVLV, SPT, UEC, FFIV, PYPL, SYM, BMY, LLY, APPF, ARM, MNDY, ORCL

Thank you for your help.

Q: Hi,

I have speculative positions in SOUN and SMCI. Both of them are raising capital and SMCI has been dropped from Nasdaq100 as well. I would like your opinion on this capital raise and the companies in general; independent of my view.

I think SOUN stock price is being pumped and it would be prudent to exit the position and wait for share dilution to happen before entering again.

As far as SMCI is concerned, I think that the company is trying to come clean and start afresh. Even then I am a little suspicious. I also think that the exit from Nasdaq100 had been priced in and should not contribute further to the slide. And that they are raising capital is indicative of a strong order book. It is a matter of establishing credibility and feel it would be rewarding to give them a chance..

How would you deal with these two? Buy or Sell? Since these are speculative positions it is not just a Hold into the year end rally (hopeful).

Regards

Rajiv

Q: I am interested in increasing my position in Well, Terravest and Vertiv. Have the fundamentals changed in any way that would serve as a red flag affecting these stocks performance going forward. What would you consider buying at their current price or wait for a pullback.
Thanks

Q: Hi,
I'm wondering if you can shed any light on why VRT's price has become more volatile lately - any geopolitical concerns, or maybe new competition? It has been a bit surprising lately.
Many thanks for all your great input!

Q: Hello

Vertiv Holding stock dropped yesterday 10%, apparently, after it was reported that an Independent Director, Steven Reinemund sold 100,000 shares on Nov 20 at an average price of $137. But it was also reported that he still holds 268,333 shares.

You also mentioned about a suit filed against the Co, Friday last week, which, in your view is not material.

We sold our holding earlier this year and intend to take advantage of the drop to restart a position at current level ( $132-133), for long term, due to Co's unique place in managing the data centre infrastructure.

What do you think ?

Thank You

a) transferring his CN money into US and taking the 24% hit and selling in 10 years the exchange rate might be...?
b) buying US stocks in their CDN version which is usually hedged?
c) or buying a US stock in a CDN acct and losing the exchange fee when buying and selling?

2) Can you pick 6 stocks that you think should do well for the next 5 years?

Q: Dear Peter et al:

I know you don't like to predict and set price targets. But with VRT/NVDA on a tear, surely one has to have a floor and a ceiling price target? I know they are your high conviction long term favorites.

I ask this question with a specific trade strategy on mind. Take a position with say 200 shares. Write a call, just one contract each. Even if one gets called away, I will have the other 100 shares to capture the price appreciation.

Any words of wisdom on this strategy? Price targets?

Thank you for your answer.
