Q: Is today’s dip an opportune time to make an initial purchase or would you prefer to let the dust settle. I tend to be a buy and hold investor and have been waiting to get into this space.

Q: I rec'd a circular regarding BNT in which they want to pass a resolution referred to as "Return of Capital Resolution" and another referred to as "Share Issuance Transactions". Would you please explain these in reasonably simple language for me.

Q: Sensio Technologies was purchased by Nordic Capital in July 2024.
The stock is still listed as S107678 but never shows trading.
Is there still value for those shares that were trading prior to the company takeover by Nordic Capital?

Thanks for your update.... I dont really understand the mechanics of how a deal like this unfolds....24 M share + another potential 4M as you said thats a lots of shares, especially compared to daily trading volume... I imagine this deal would not be feasible if only listed on TSX...

ie: So Who takes these shares, and then how do they sell their shares, are there conditions to meet and what determines the purchase prices for these buyers?

Realizing that there are a number of catalysts that 'could' boost the share price of PBH, we're concerned that it will take too long. It was purchased several years ago for a TFSA at an (ugh) average cost of $122. The last time I looked, it was trading at $80.23.
Even with the dividends received (thank goodness for dividends in this case), we are still down $17,300.

Here's the question: Even with all the positive catalysts going forward, do you think that the share price will increase enough to at least break even when accounting for dividends? Or do you think that we should swallow the loss and move to something else that has a more attractive valuation and greater upside?

Q: What do you recommend for an ETF or actively managed fund which holds high quality (blue chip) stocks, and pays out some dividends?

Q: Could you name 7 canadian Cies that pay dividends, and have more chances in your vue to maintain their dividends during a bond crash / a bear market /or with US tariffs ?

Q: I have a half position in Kraken in a TFSA. Their PE is high though I see high sales growth this year with several contracts signed this year. Do we have any idea of what the next couple of years may show? Have Kraken give a 3-5 year plan? Do you believe in their chance of continuing at a high rate in the near future? It's easier for a small company to grow fast and not so easy later. Is there so much potential in their sector of activity that they can continue to grow at a fast clip?

Q: Hi group what the suggested strategy to deal with proposed increase in withholding tax . I am hesitant to buy any more us stocks in my non registered +TSFA accounts ...maybe even sell some? i know we should wait until the prosed increase happens ...looking at US verses Canada stocks in general. Presently CAD are doing better so selling and replacing with CAD stocks may just work out just fine ...thoughts

Q: I have been keeping a good portion of our portfolio in cash, and for the last couple of years in GICs where the interest rate near 5% was ok. But some have and others are coming up for renewal and rates are now lower, around 3.25%, Would something like PPL be a reasonable alternative to earn a somewhat better return wth still a good degree of safety? Any other suggestions? Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Your thoughts and analysis of this Gold miner in Nigeria? Hitting new highs with an attractive dividend. Is it to risky or do you see it as a decent small investment?
