Q: While I could buy a number of international or emerging market ETFs, are there any large cap Canadian stocks that would provide some degree of exposure?

Q: It has taken a stunning and steady drop. When markets are up 300 points or down 300 points it still goes down.

1 year - (20%)
YTD - (16%)

To me this isn't a question is there any recent news to cause this drop, but more like what is happening to this company and why?

It's ranked 6/10 by TipRanks and a SB.

So on a longer term look back why the steady drop? and what will turn this around in the future?

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: We just opened a TFSA account for my daughter, she is 18.

Money is not needed for a long time. Our aim is to maximize the growth, risk tolerant, tax efficiency and easy to manage.

Would you recommend ETF's or Individual stocks? How many positions? What companies/ETF?

Also, is there a place for bitcoin? If yes what %.

Thanks in advance

Q: WSP Global stock has grossly underperformed its Canadian peers STN and ATRL over 5 Yrs, 1 yr and YTD. ( 1 Yr: 7% v/s 34% ). And the pattern does not appear to change, even after recent earnings. We know that WSP has been held in 5i portfolios for many years and consistently recommended.

Could you please help us understand the reasons for the disparity and rationale to continue to own the stock vis a vis switching to any of the other two ?

BTW: From a technical perspective, stock seems to have lost its momentum and now trading below its 200 Day MA.

Thank You

Q: Not much has been asked about this Co, lately. What do you think of Finning International, being the largest global distributor of Caterpillar products ? There seems to be a tailwind developing with expanding need for heavy equipment/machinery, based on copper/precious metal mining and infrastructure/data centres spending.

Do you like the Co, its growth prospects and valuation ? Any negatives ?

Would you be comfortable buying a full/partial position, before earnings which are due Nov 11 ?

What are the street estimates ?

Thank You

Q: On Friday there was a big rebound in the stock indexes after large early losses. I noticed that some stocks had big bounces off the day's low point, some rising 10% from the low of the day, whereas some stocks didn't bounce back much at all. Wondering if the big bounce back for some stocks indicates there is more investor support for longer term ownership of these stocks, and they should perform better, or is it just a one-off that doesn't really have any predictive value.

Q: BEPC is trading at a 42% premium to BEP.UN. I understand the tax implications and ownership of LPs vs Corps, however, what is the real value/share of Brookfield Renewable? Is BEP.UN undervalued and/or BEPC overvalued? As a retail investor, irrespective of tax considerations, which of the two should I consider buying? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter,
Both MDA and FTG are experiencing negative momentum. Please compare their financial situation and future revenue projections. With year-end selling, which one would you prefer to buy at the current valuation for a 3 year hold and why? Thanks.
