Q: No guarantees of course but base on your historical perspective could you provide a short list of 3 each US and Canadian companies that “most likely” would do a stock split in the near future?

Q: I realize a lot has been said about BTO recently, but most of the discussion has focused on (reduced) 2026 expectations. At current levels, do you think that downside risk should be reasonably low? Analysts have been increasing estimates for ’27 such that at the Feb/24 close the Fwd PE is only 5.4x. That seems to be a very low # for a company in one of the strongest sectors, which tells me the market has already baked in future execution misses, helping to reduce downside risk. Conversely, if execution does improve by ’27 the stock looks like an easy double from here.

Q: Can you please comment on the latest quarterly report and conference call as well as your thoughts on if it might be time to move on from this one. If you are more on the sell side with this latest report, any tech sector top favorites you could recommend to replace it with would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Hi Peter & Team,

Yes, it's great to see TRI bouncing back; very encouraging.

However, since TRI is 'partnered' with Anthropic, are there any 'red flags' at the moment, when considering the ongoing disagreements between the Trump administration and Anthropic? (Pete Hegseth, the US secretary of defence and his recent demands aimed at Anthropic).

Thanks as always for your insight.

Q: PHX had a big pop in the share price yesterday after they announced their year end financials, as well they announced a special dividend of 20 cents per share. I briefly looked at the financials and it seemed to me that PHX 's yearend looks a lot better in the headlines because they sold a lot of excess equipment. That is not sustainable. I only bought a small position in PHX in January and I am already up about 50 percent. I like the regular dividend and a special divvy is a bonus, but I suspect that the big pop in share price is not sustainable due to the nature of the earnings beat. How do you read PHX yearend financials? Why do you think the shares popped nearly 20 per cent today? And in your opinion is that gain sustainable?

Q: Hi 5i,

Thomson Reuters (TRI) has recently displayed several technical signs that could indicate a potential bottom, including bullish RSI divergence, improving MACD momentum, increasing rebound volume, and a possible inverse head and shoulders pattern around the 123–124 level.

Considering both the technical signals and fundamental strength, would you consider the probability of a near-term base formation to be high?

What specific fundamental or technical conditions would you need to see to confirm that TRI is forming a sustainable bottom?

Many thanks for the advise.

Q: Hi,

Further to my question on Feb 24th, I am wondering about whether or not this:

"...Jefferies analyst Brent Thill says that investors panicked entirely too hard over the launch of COBOL translation capabilities through Anthropic's Claude Code:

“We believe the concerns overlook that IBM is already disrupting itself, with watsonx Code Assistant for Z embedding GenAI directly into the mainframe to refactor COBOL into Java and modernize apps with full system context,” wrote Thill. “Importantly, IBM's software reaccel hinges not on mainframe but on broader momentum across hybrid cloud, AI, automation and data.”

might change anything in your strategy of holding to see how things progress and if not, then take the tax loss towards the end of the year.

Even Anthropic said that new AI tools for its Claude Cowork agent software will integrate with, rather than displace, existing systems.

Does this revelation from Tuesday change the dynamics for any of the stocks that have been beaten down hard on Anthropics' recent announcements?

Always nice to read yours thoughts - thanks!

Q: These 3 companies: STN; WSP; TOI reported year end and quarterly financials today. I'd be interested on your thoughts regarding the results for each and going forward. Three questions in one. Deduct as many credits/ points as needed. Thanks.
