Q: IPL announced results yesterday: record revenue, 12% increase in net income, 10th consecutive annual dividend increase, 60% payout ratio, dividend of almost 8%. All great numbers, yet the stock is down 2% today while others like TRP and PPL are off to the races. Am I missing something?
Q: Regarding IPL’s Q4 results. I do not understand how they determine their payout ratio as 60.2 % when their dividends are $1.68 per share and their earnings are $1.53 per share.

Q: this is one of many feathers in 5i's cap. do you see few other companies in the same light ( Canadian or US) regardless of sector, that can expect to perform the same way, I guess management is key here.
Q: I used your advise on stock screener usage, did some homework and pick up this one earlier this week...can you please comment on their earnings report?
your service is very appreciated...
Q: Thankyou very much for recommendation of CSU. Your unwavering conviction in this stock enabled me to keep it and add to it on declines, which can be difficult to do for a conservative ETF investor. Do you have another favorite Canadian stock , or stocks, with nearly identical qualities, that you would suggest ? Sector is not a concern. If more than one, please list in order of preference. P.S. my wife says thankyou. I sold some shares to buy her a very special Valentine gift.
Q: I'd appreciate your thoughts on X. I am recently retired and considering a full position, but am mindful of the high beta. Recent earnings appear strong and I like the dividend, but don't want to take on too much risk at this stage. Thank you.
