Q: Hi.

My portfolio analytics says I'm low on Consumer Defensive. Can you give me 1-2 Canadian stock suggestions and maybe 1-2 ETFs in the US and Canada.

Q: Hi there, what do you think about buying this ETF for broad defensive exposure in a diversified portfolio? Do you think it has room to run up over the next 1-2 year or so? Are there any other cons staple etfs or specific stocks that might offer better growth and dividend?

Q: I'm looking to add a defensive element to my RRSP account and would appreciate a recommendation or two for an income generating consumer's staple ETF.

Q: What are the Canadian equivalents to the NYSE's XLP? I'm looking for an ETF on the TMX which has decent liquidity and market cap.

I'm thinking it might be better for me to simply buy several Cdn consumer stocks and 'build' my own ETF.

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,

To raise our U.S., International, and Consumer Staples sector, please rank these three ETFs . I realize that STPL is the only one of the three that has holdings in countries other than the U.S. This investment would be for our two RRIFs.

Q: I have about $100K to invest in the US stock market to bring my portfolio closer to my intended US weighting, and I am looking for some US stock/ETF ideas.

My portfolio is already 25% Technology, and 16.5% Financials. So I don't need suggestions from those sectors. I was considering more VFV, but that has 25% Technology in it already, so maybe an ETF to complement that.

Can you suggest some US stocks that are not in the Technology or Financial sector that you would consider for a US style model portfolio. And also some ETFs holding US stocks that are light in Technology and Financials.

Q: Hi, having just sold my TD Balanced Index Fund, I am looking for a suggestion of a few ETFs to cover my under-weightings in the Consumer Cyclicals &/or Consumer Defensive industries, preferably in the US or International Regions as i am overweight in Canadian region. This is for an RRSP with 10+ years holding.

Q: I am a retired, conservative, dividend-income investor.

Q #1 = I have partial positions in CSH, CGX, PBH, TCL. Would you top up any of these positions?

Q #2 = I am a little light on Consumers. I am having trouble finding an ETF in the consumer sectors that pay a "reasonable" dividend. My ideal dividend target is > 3%, but I'd consider > 2%.
