Q: I currently hold positions in Sandstorm Gold and Newmont Corp (larger holding). I would like to add one more stock and I am considering Kirkland Lake, Agnico Eagle and B2 Gold. I have a relatively high risk tolerance and I would appreciate your choice from among these three companies unless you have an alternative that you prefer.
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Hi,
There seems to be a law suit against KL with a hearing ,I believe , at a US Federal court.
I am not sure if you could elaborate further over and above what we already know. If you could, that would be great. My question is on the credibility of management. Could you share your thoughts, if any, as I am a shareholder.

Thanks

Q: Hi, how would you rank these four if you were to start buying today. Do you think its better to buy two full positions or half positions in all of them currently?

Thanks!

Q: Last november I bought a small position (1%) in Tudor Gold as a more speculative complement to a 4% position in KL. I find their assets in the Golden Triangle, BC quite interesting.
KL didn't move much, but TUD more than tripled with the very strong run last week and with quite good volumes as well.
So now I have a total 7.5% gold miner/explorer position. Do you think it's too high in a balanced portfolio?
Do you have an idea what's going on with Tudor? Do you think it would be time to take some profits or letting it grow to 5% is also reasonable?

Thank you,

Q: Thank you for this great service.
I own in gold stocks AEM, KL and GORO (recommended from another newsletter.)
Each stock represents about 1% of total holdings. (3% so far.)
Would like to bring gold &/or gold companies up to about 5%.
What would you add/increase or change here to get to 5% total. Please add / change towards conservative leanings.
Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i Team,

In your opinion, will there be more upside on gold and silver? If so, can you recommend few names that can be purchasing at today's price?

Thanks,

Q: Hi group I believe that Tech + health + gold will be the leaders when we come out of recession. Can you give me a list of 2 ETFs for each sector along with 2 individual stocks you like for Canada + USA. Am also interested you take on my sectors that will lead the recovery and should I start picking away or wait ??? (I believe the market are vastly overbought and does not factor in the economic reality that the virus is going to do to the market. Please deduct credits at your discretion.

Q: Hello Peter,
Wellness, Xebec Absorption, Jamieson Wellness, all had decent numbers recently with Wellness announcing an acquisition of Indivica which I thought would have been received well. Any comments as to why these stocks are not moving much understanding they have done well. Other high tech stocks surge on any announcements so am curious. Also, kirkland lake is heading lower where other gold stocks are moving higher. Thanks.

Q: Hi Group questions on gold - I have 4 gold stocks with the following returns YTD
- GLD = 5.19%
- GDXJ = 13.36%
- AEM = 23.29%
- FNV = 10.82%
Why is GLD lagging should I sell in and reinvest AEM or GDXJ ? or do you have a favorite?
Also what % of my $850,000 portfolio should I have in Gold in the present uncertain economy presently these stocks represent 8% can I go to 10% or 15 % considering the present problems in the world - I am a moderate risk investor thanks for your guidance on this + Deduct credits as you see fit

Q: Hello Peter,
While the god producers are leveraged to price of gold, it is also true that the market is forward looking and has driven the price up for the miners. So, is it gold miners or physical gold for now. Also, at this time which of MMX, KL, FNV, AEM provide the best bang for the buck. It would be great if you could rank them best first and perhaps I can take smaller positions in two; if the miners are still the way to go.
Thank you in advance for your suggestion.
Regards

Q: Hi Peter...I am trying to make a case to myself for buying either KL or AEM. I have no "Material" stocks. I have been reading the questions and responses on AEM and KL. If I understand you correctly you like both companies almost equally. Both have solid financials and excellent management. Both operate mines in what are considered safe jurisdictions. KL I think operates a mine in Argentina so there is a slight risk increase due to that mine's location. KL has another risk due to the acquisition of Detour, a low grade, high volume open pit mine. KL will somehow need to make Detour more profitable and there are doubts KL will have success.
AEM is charting better than KL currently. Morningstar shows KL as being slightly undervalued. If Detour can be made more profitable then KL's stock should be able to better match AEM's performance.
If you can be said to favour one company over another I think you would side with KL because of its potential to make Detour more profitable.
On a macro level with low inflation we will have low interest rates and an increase in the money supply which should be good for gold as a commodity. Our Covid-19 fears I think play well into the emotional need to own gold.
Please correct me if I have misunderstood you.
Thank you,
Jim

Q: I currently have no investments in precious metals. What would your order of ranking from 1 to 4 would the following KL:CA, AEM:CA, FNV:CA and PHYS:CA be for a hold of 5 years or more. Also are there any other precious metal stocks, ETF's or other investments that would worth considering? This would be for a non registered account.

Q: Hello,
Back in December you mentioned Kinross was not your favourite in its sector.
What is your favourite in the sector?
Minimum 5 year hold.
Looking to add to my TFSA or RRSP.
