Q: Hello,
I own KL. Gold is up 25% (1 year return) while KL is down almost 10% (1 year return). YTD, KL is down 2.5%. The quarterly results looked fine, they pay a dividend, been buying back shares but there has been relentless selling within the last 3 months from a stock price of over $76 down to now about $55 and change. In addition, its has breached its 200MA from a technical standpoint which does not bode well either.
Would you consider KL a buy at the current level and why do you think the stock has taken such a beating even though Gold seems to be holding up well.
Thanks,

Q: own 200 shares of GC @ $42.95 - what is your long term outlook ( 3-5 years) with the prospective new owners.
I do not need the tax loss benefit but am looking at selling CAE immediately with the latest price jump and buying back later in Dec. with the outlook of a drop in price caused by those who do need the use of the tax loss.
Which one of the major gold companies has the greatest potential to outperform in 2021/22 ( not considering risk )?

Q: Hello,
Would you consider the following 6 stocks as beneficiaries that could benefit should the Covid situation worsen?

If not, what stocks do you consider that will benefit?

Thanks

Q: I own the four above.
Please comment on KL and it’s acquisition. That market seems not to like it. Do I use this dip as buying opportunity? I have some room in my gold sector.
I am aiming for a 10% total sector weight as insurance and inflation future inflation hedge. What is the max weighting 5i would be comfortable with, understanding that I am biased in favour of gold over the next 5/7 years? I would be willing to go as high as 20%.
Is my bias “out of line” so so speak in your opinion?
Please take as many credits as needed.
Great work as always, I wish I would have followed 5i and its advice closer in the past and I will in the future.

Q: Hello, I am generally not good at buying commodity stocks..usually end up buying high and selling low..but kl looks attractive with 850 million cash and a dividend increase, no debt and high gold prices. Is this a good time to start a position?
I have no other commodity stock except small positions in ccl.b and wpk. Thanks.

Q: Hello Peter,
On my previous question, you felt Alamos was a decent stock and may attract international investors. Given the new data (their earnings), is it better to redirect the monies to Kirkland Lake, Agnico Gold or the ETF , XGD. I thought with higher gold prices, Alamos would have crushed the earnings.. Also, any idea why the block chain etf is surging constantly. Thanks
