Q: I have the following investments and I am wondering which ones would be good for long term investments? I am 30 years old. This is for my TFSA. I would be okay with USA and Canadian investments for medium to high risk.

Q: I was planning on adding some or all of these to an RRSP and /or an RESP.
Any issues or better ideas. I am thinking ETF's and one or two blue chip.Thanks,Paul

Q: I have a cash account with CDN stocks and CDRs. I am retired but will not need to dip into this account for at least 5 years. I am thinking of converting all the holdings into 5 or 6 etfs, all in CDN$, to reduce my time managing this account, while still holding the probability of a reasonable amount of growth.
I have not yet started the switch over but at the moment my list is : XIU and WXM for 30% Canadian; ZSP, XQQ and FCMO for 60% US; and VE for 10% other.
The usual questions about the overall strategy, alternative/better ETFs to hold, or other suggestions.

Q: Hello, I wanted to start a small position in AAPL, but didn't want to convert CDN $ to US$, would you recommend the CDR? . I noticed that since the beginning of the year both the CDR and the US listings are down about the same ~ 16% .. Are there any hidden fees with he CDR . Or would you recommend to just buy the XQQ:CA?

I was thinking of buying TD technology leaders etf (TEC) instead of XQQ , the nasdaq 100 etf as it has performed the nasdaq and seems to be more diversified. Any comments please?

Also, I looked at the details of VUN and XUU etfs, They both seem to have similar holdings and over 5 year period both have similar performance. However , going over more than 5 years, why has VUN out performed XUU. I am not clear on this..

Regardless of the tariffs situation, the US market seems to do well over time, and hence i thought instead of total Europe exposure, go with VEQT etf. Any comments please..

Also, do you prefer unhedged products like VUN as opposed to VUS? Lastly, i use yahoo to to compare charts. Do you know a better site please? Thanks very much

Q: Hello, for a 25 year old with $ 500.00 to invest in the TFSA, which of the above would you suggest?
Also, how about for a 27 year old with $ 100K, which one(s) would you suggest? Finally, does BMO have a S&P500 unhedged?
As a quick calculation the Unedged has retuned ~ 6% more with BMO (ZQQ /ZNQ) and ~ 12% with the ishare ( XQQ/XQQU). Right?

Q: Are there any broad US market ETF's that I can buy in Canadian dollars that will be neutral to whether the Canadian dollar goes up or down vs the US. I am worried that if I convert too much money to USD at the current rate, it might backfire on me if our dollar somehow rallies, (which seems unlikely right now, but who knows)

Q: You prefer unhedged ETF so would ZNQ be a better choice than XQQ? This is for a RESP?

Q: I'm building US content into my portfolio, and am looking for medium risk ETFs. Do you have an estimated target and a recommendation for these two ETFs? I'd like both NASDAQ and S&P 500 exposures. Is the content of ZUE and XQQ content too overlapping for the two exposures?
