Q: Holy Insanity! Who are the crazy gamblers (not investors) buying SNAP Inc at a price/sales ratio of 71 times! A valuation like that makes companies like Shopify and Nvidia seem like a bargain! I don't see anything that resembles a "moat" with this company, especially since Facebook has duplicated all the cool features of Snapchat onto Instagram? Am I missing something here 5i, or is this going to be the easiest SHORT for the next 2 years?

Q: I would like to increase my stock weight in technologies. I only currently have a 1,5% in BB and 2,5% in PHO. I have a 5% cash position in my TFSA to invest with a long-term growth (10years+) horizon. What tech company would you recommend for a new position?
Thank you,

Q: Hi guys,

My portfolio has slowly but finally become well diversified thanks to you and your service the past couple years. Now that I am at this state I am looking for a higher risk company to invest a small amount of money in. What stock do you see as having some huge growth potential albeit risky?

Thanks again

Q: How do you decide when a stock is over-priced? SHOP is trading at some dizzying heights and I am wondering how one decides when it may be fully valued. In the past, for example, you have noted that you have a hard time deciding if Amazon is a worthwhile investment or not due to its stock price.

Appreciate your insight.

Q: Hello 5i
My wife has taken advantage of a company matching stock purchase plan for the last 10 years. It has grown to represent about 30% of our combined retirement accounts. I'd like to move half of it into the balanced portfolio for better diversification. I also really like Shopify Open Text and CRH medical. Would you substitute current B.E. holdings to fit these three in or simply add them. My thoughts are to eliminate Enghouse and Sylogist but am curious to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for your invaluable advice!!!

Q: The good news: I bought Shopify in August '16 @ $51.
The bad news: Didn't buy enough!
The question: With the stock at $79.31 and the RSI at 87 (gasp)is adding more at this point just a bit crazy? What I am really doing is holding your feet to the fire on the notion of buying stocks that are running i.e. where is the break point when valuations and emotions are running too high and it's prudent to step back?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Q: SYZ continues to drop - is there something "wrong"? Is it time to bail (ie. "stop loss") and buy something whose stock is increasing such as SHOP? Selling low (SYZ) and buying high(SHOP)is often not a good strategy unless the low is going lower and the high is going higher. Your thoughts on doing this trade.

Q: I have held both Boyd and Enghouse since 2012 and they have both served me well. However of late their share price has stalled and they seem range bound. Would now be a good time to take profits (50%) in both of these companies and use that amount to take an initial position in Shopify?

Thanks

Peter
