Q: Regarding GUD and ENDP Asked by Serge and others waiting for GUD to make a move. Considering debt load, Enbridge merged with Spectra, Davis and Henderson bought Harland Financial. What happened to ENB share price and where is D&H today. Could Knight be biting off too much as well if they were to move on ENDP considering the debt they would inherit?
Quote: "ENDP has more than $7B in debt and less than $600M in cash flow in the last 12 months. The stock is down 50% in a year. Interest expenses of $488M last year ate up nearly all of its total cash flow. Earnings are lower than they were 8 years ago."

Q: I have US $ Portfolio: FB,SHOP,CGNX,AMZN,NVDA,SQ,NFLX,MA.
Yesterday I sold all of CCGNX because of down trend and Dead cross on
EMA50 & EMA200. I have around 20 K US$ from the sell.
Please suggest some some US stocks to replace CGNX that you would buy
right now or should I wait for change of trend to up to repurchase CGNX.

Q: I am looking at VGG as a way to use Canadian dollars to acquire a reasonable number (around 70 I believe) of dividend growing US large caps. Do you think this ETF makes sense for US exposure to dividend growers or would you prefer to invest using US dollars and select 5 or 6 dividend growers (any suggestions in that case). Lastly do you consider this a sensible investment strategy for part of a balanced portfolio at this time for a 3 year hold. I appreciate your input as always - Ken

Q: Hello 5i team,
I was wondering if there is an ETF in canada that contains provincial bonds. I am guessing VAB may contain these as well as Canadian bonds.

Also what is the best website that would have breakdowns of what is in canadian ETFs?

Thank You,
Andrew

Q: Hi 5i
If one purchased KBL believing in long-holding support near $38, the fact the internal investments looked good going forward and the business is relatively stable to growing, how much further below the break of technical support would a good and profitable investor give this name?
Current price is $36.01, trend is down on small daily volume and on no news.
It is beginning to look more like I purchased into a stock that is continuing a three year down trend.
Is this an exit given the price decline does not appear to be abating?
Or does one continue to hold for the business stability and future benefits from investments?
It did not appear to me as though I was buying into a stock in a down trend but the chart is showing me a different reality.
Thoughts on this situation?
Thanks
Dave

Q: Recently the Globe & Mail has an article discussing the merits of using a one-Balanced ETF strategy and recommended the following three ETFs: VBAL, CBD and HRA. What would you consider to be the best one? Also, when I reviewed the information on their respective websites, I can only find Management Fee info as opposed to MER info. Is it because they are all ETFs that are composed of various ETFs. So the ultimate MER of these balanced ETFs would be the sum of the quotes Management Fee plus the MER of the underlying ETFs?
Please deduct as many credits as you see fit.

Q: To follow-up on Claire's comment, is there an reasoned/optimal % allocation to each FI ETF (i.e. evenly split)? I have: CBO 20%, CPD 12%, HFR 26%, XBB 17%, XHY 12%, LQD 13%. I consider HFR as low-risk cash-like holding.

Thank you again.

Q: Hi Peter,
Any idea why BTL group is surging so much this week given that a week ago it was in the dumps? Is this still very speculative play? Why is Covalon continuing to experience declines? Also, with Cannibis stocks taking a hit (not clear why) would be a good time to add to HMMJ with Canopy Growth being one of the largest holdings or is it better to just put the money in Canopy Growth given its relationship with Constellation Brands? Thanks very much.
