Q: Hi 5i
I'm currently sitting on a small profit on LAC (and small loss on another international lithium name). I'm patient but concerned that perhaps with the hype over, the price of lithium/tantalum will need to remain or adjust lower for a prolonged period.
Your thoughts on the lithium them in general ??
Thanks
Mike

Q: I hold all of the above in roughly equal weight in the income portion of my portfolio. The first three are at roughly breakeven, the latter five are up, two of them over 20%, as economic conditions have weakened. I am wondering why I don't simplify life by selling them all and buying the PDC ETF which provides greater diversification and has a dividend yield of 4.59%. I realize that 25% of PDC is in energy but mostly safer pipelines. Would this be a good move or am I better off to keep what I have?

Q: Looking for some safety if we have a serious downturn. Like others, I appreciate growing dividends and some growth. Looking to add DIS, T, WMT, OR HD to my American holdings. Do you have any major concerns with any of these companies and would you please rate them best to worst based on my investment criteria.
Have yourselves a great weekend.

Q: I am looking to get some exposure to the health care sector and thought I would look at an ETF as opposed to a single company. I'm considering either XLV or IHI and would like your opinion of these two ETFs, and which you would prefer. I would be adding the ETF as a full position in my RRSP.

Also, if there is another ETF that you prefer over these two, please include that in your response.

thanks for your insight
Paula

Q: I know diversification helps but am looking for some recommended investments and strategies that might weather a correction better than others.

Q: Hi Gang,
I already own many of your balanced and growth funds stocks and have some cash to put to work. Can you rate the above going out 12-24 months out.

Thank you Anthony

Q: Hi 5i
Are there any/many companies in your portfolios that you consider "on a short leash" ? I am thinking of my own specifically with TSGI, COV and VB (VB only as I'm high on the financials side and VB is just quietly meandering).
Would you consider my list and provide an opinion of how many Qtrs would seem reasonable for my "short leash" list ?

Thanks
Mike

Q: I've owned this one for quite a while; however, it is a very complex organism as witnessed when I do my income tax return every year. I realize that this position should have been in a registered account. My question: is this still a good solid holding? They just reported with low EPS per unit; but, it looks like FFO was very good and carries more weight than EPS does for a regular company.

Q: It appears that this is a trading market as I FIND VERY DIFFICULT to hold for long term when market goes down at a very high speed than when it goes up.How do we convince our self to hold some stocks like SIS,mx and it keeps going down? Do you think I need to read some books to educate myself or do you agree with me,May be buy and hold was right thing to do but not in this time when president's tweet makes the market,Lot of things changed with time may be its time to change buy &hold for long term,If I had no 5i advice I would have lost a lot,I do appreciate your opinion a LOT
