Q: You recently commented that at this point you like TFII better than CNR and CPR. Could you elaborate and would you consider TFII a good choice for growth if we have inflationary pressures.

please comment on Starr Peak Mining LTD (STE-X).
I have a couple of thousand mad money to buy a small cap mining company and was wondering if this might fit the bill.
On May 4th they reported maiden drilling results. I can't figure if they were good or not.
April 22 Starr Peaks formed World Class Advisory Team and strengthens management. Do you know them?
March 18 Starr Peak Exploration LTD name change to Starr Peak Mining.
I realize this is a small cap but at the end of the day is it buyable or can you name something else that you might like better?

Q: Good Morning 5i,
I would appreciate knowing your outlook for Gibson Energy (GEI). In the past couple of months there was an article in the Globe & Mail that there could be more to come on the M&A front. It listed several companies that could be up for sale and GEI was one. The article said that GEI management was looking out to improve shareholder value and company sale (not just assets) wasn't out of the question. Since then GEI has become the first energy company in North America to link it's credit facility to meeting sustainability objectives. The stock has not performed as well as other energy stocks during this time and I have continued to hold it for the potential takeover aspect. Do you consider a take over is possible and if so, what companies do you consider would be potential candidates to takeover GEI? Thanks

Q: Morning 5i,
After its earnings report yesterday VMC has risen about 14% as I write this, to $7.20. NFI meanwhile, is trading at $25.63. My question is: relative to NFI and using it as the benchmark, in your opinion is VMC trading at a premium or a discount and, if so, by how much and what do you think accounts for or explains that premium or that discount? Thanks!

Q: Hi group why do you continue to recommend LUN I bought it 3 mths ago for the copper play and so far is is not performing well as copper continues to rise. looks like a sell to me

Also can you shed any light on lumber prices it has been dropping like a stone is the sector consolidating or is the drop the real deal. WEF has been hit particularly hard any idea why Thanks for your guidance

Q: I am rebalancing and need to add Material equities to my portfolio. Currently my only holding in that sector is MX:CA. Materials will represent 13% of the portfolio equal to my energy allotment. Generally speaking should I dispose of MX (because it is more or less energy focused)and start from scratch for sector investment? Can you provide some guidance on companies to check out? I have a 3-5 year horizon and like dividends.
