Q: I hold CSU shares in a taxable account at a purchase cost of $80 per share ( Thank you 5i ). Will the spin off of Tropicus shares be deemed as a disposition by the CRA and subject to capital gains tax ?

Q: I'm currently in SIS, but not happy that they haven't grown the company this year and am worried the cuts to maintain net income may hamper future growth, unless a major acquisition is made.
I have a long term horizon and rarely sell, but I am considering a switch to REAL. Would this be wise in your view, or should I be more patient and forgiving with SIS?

Other than personal RE and BAM, I currently have no equity exposure to RE at this time.

Can you help explain the large drop on REAL since August? Granted there was a small miss on latest earnings, expectations were high.
