Celestica Inc. (CLS)

Knight Therapeutics Inc. (GUD)

Savaria Corporation (SIS)

ECN Capital Corp. (ECN)
Q: Hi Peter,
SIS has grown to about 9% of my portfolio from an initial 6% and wondering if you think there's any more upside? My full positions are 5-7% so wondering if I should continue to hold or trim my position?
On the other hand GUD is down 20% and wondering if I should add more here or start a new position in CLS (I'm low on tech) if I do trim SIS. All of these are/will be in my TFSA.
Also, wondering about ECN, what will it take for it to break out above $4? It seems to be stuck below $4 for a long time now. I hold this in my RRSP.
Thanks for your advice as always.

Balanced Equity Portfolio (BEPORT)
Q: This list of companies from the Balanced Portfolio were all beaten up a bit last year. Which of these do you now consider buying opportunities? Are any of these on your list to watch & discard if performance doesn't improve? If I were to add some of these to my relatively diverse portfolio, how would you order them in terms of anticipated total returns?

Photon Control Inc. (PHO)

Celestica Inc. (CLS)
-
Exco Technologies Limited (XTC)
-
ZCL Composites Inc. (ZCL)
Q: In a national post article, you mentioned that this could be the year of takeovers. I know you don't have a crystal ball but what stocks do you think could be attractive to a bigger player, e.g. the acquisition of Pure by Xlem. I note that Celestica appears real cheap but doesn't move. Perhaps someone might decide to come and buy this baby. Thanks.

Q: I am missing above stocks in my Balanced portfolio. Whould you buy them today or in new year? Thank you
Q: looks like CLS is buying back shares again according to the INK insider report, does your sources show this? Thx
Q: Knight, Celestica and Lundin Mining are all trading at close to 1:1 price to book (per the Globe). Is that meaningful at all for any of these companies? Is it a "value" indicator that suggests better days may be ahead? Your thoughts, please. With thanks.
Q: Following your balanced portfolio and have CLS and PKI in my investment account. Should I sell them before the end of the year and take a loss for tax purposes and rebuy in the new year?

Q: Cannacord, in their latest report on tax loss selling candidates indentified CLS as a top candidate for a recovery. Would you agree? I have a 2 % position and was looking to top it up
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Good Morning Peter, Ryan, and Team,
I have a bit of cash in an account that very closely tracks the "Balanced Equity Portfolio". My weightings in GUD and CLS are a bit light now due to their share's pulling back. Both stocks look cheap to me and tax loss selling season is likely helping to suppress them. I would appreciate your opinion of adding to these two names. Thank you for your sage advice. DL

Q: In your reply to Brenda you indicated earnings growth for CLS next year.
RBC shows 2016 $1.40, 2017 $1.23, and 2018 $1.29.
I am wondering what numbers your research shows?
Also, at today's price would you be comfortable buying or would selling a March put be a worthwhile strategy?
Many thanks.
Mike

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I have not given up on CLS either. I have been following the company for some time and waiting for a good entry point. For several reasons its momentum is down and technically it is breaking down. I guess it looks like a falling knife...I notice it's TP has been lowered to $12.50. I know you do not give predictions on price. So I am wondering what your thoughts are about it's direction and momentum. I know investors over react in both directions. Do you think it is looking over sold? Do you think this $12.50 might put in a floor? Better to wait a week or two until the dust settles? Would buying now be classified as a small contrarian play on a value stock?
Thanks for your invaluable expertise!

Q: You seem to like Covalon a lot and I wonder what you are seeing that it might be worth investing in.
It looks to me that their product line is not very diversified....and a Chinese copycat could easily move in.
If you had a choice between COV,KXS or CLS what would be your pick be in order without looking at sectors?

Q: Hello Peter/Ryan & Team,
I do need to apologize to everyone about CLS. I decided to finally buy it so naturally the 12% decline the next day would happen. But I have smartened up and only started with a quarter position.
And you would think that I should start to smarten up about buying into negative momentum, but with that said, do you think I should be adding in the next couple months to get to a full position or wait off until momentum improves?
Thank you for all you do.
Wes

Q: Hi Peter, I am looking for a growth replacement for CLS and it can come from any of your portfolios. Please suggest your top 3 or 4. I already own PHO, PUR, TV and ZCL in a 29 stock portfolio. Time frame 1-3 year hold.
Many thanks for your candid advice. It has served me well for over 4 years now and I have renewed my membership for 2 more years.
