Q: Hi Folks,

I am looking to add a couple of Consumer Discretionary stocks to my non registered portfolio. Looking at HD, NKE, SBUX , GNTX and VFC - which two would you recommend for growth and some income at this time.

Excluding 5 Big banks,BCE,T,ENB,FTS.

Q: Rio Tinto has offered $40 to buy the remainder of the company that they don't already hold, while the market price seems to be holding just above $37 (as I write this), almost a 10% difference. If TRQ rejects this offer, do you think Rio will up their offer for a second time, make a hostile bid, or just walk away? I know very little about the mining industry, and am mainly looking at the numbers - would you buy some TRQ hoping for a capital gain, or just stay away?

Q: I'm playing around with a screener and trying to find potential multibaggers. I've been screening for ROE and ROIC greater than 20%. What other metrics would you suggest for this screen that would include quality potential multibaggers but exclude the crappy companies that just show up due to 1 year of high ROIC & ROE. Thx

Q: Hi 5i
I own both TVE and WCP and have done OK with each. However, except from what might be available from those two holdings I don't have any exposure to natural gas, a commodity that is getting lots of attention these days. To remedy that, I'm considering parting ways with TVE and hooking up with BIR.
In your opinion, is natural gas production worthy of pursuit at present and, if so:
(1) is BIR a good vehicle for that pursuit and
(2) on strictly a growth basis would you expect BIR to outperform TVE over the next year or so, and why or why not?

Q: What are your thoughts on buying APPL,AMZN,BRK --appl.ne, amzn.ne,brk.ne on Toronto exchange --canadian depository receipt . I found about 20 high priced US stocks that I can buy with my canadian dollars.
