Q: Have about $18.0 K U.S. that I would like to put to work for 30 to 40 months. Would appreciate suggestions - ETF or individual security. Sector not too relevant although, like most Cdn, investors, I am overweight financlals and resources. Keeping the funds in U.S., a mix of capital appreciation and reinvested dividends would be nice. Thanks for all the 5i Team do and a shout out to all the members whose thoughtful questions have helped me in recent years.

Q: If YOU were a growth-focused investor building your portfolio, what would be the MAX weight (%) YOU would give to the following Canadian names without losing sleep at night? As always, the portfolio is for long term buy and hold with a 5-10 year time frame.

Q: Following these recent QA regarding BN.

Sep30 “ As per the latest annual financials, BN holds a 25.0% interest in Brookfield Asset Management (BAM), a 54.6% interest in Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP.UN), a 73.9% interest in Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (BIP), and a 34.5% interest in Brookfield Business Partners (BBU)”

Oct01: “Owning the three noted will provide higher income and somewhat similar exposure. But BN will prove the 'private equity' component of its businesses that the others have less of.”

I own BN since BAM-reorg and it did very well this year. If we look at it’s underlying assets : in the last year BAM/BBU did OK but not as much, but both BEP and BIP did poorly. May be a stupid question, why did BN do so well? Market speaking? “private equity” or other assets heavier than we think? Thanks ++

Q: Hi 5i, Could I have a fresh look at PMET as a lithium small cap? I know of 3 analysts with target price over $10, does Bloomberg has a similar average? I’m not convinced this is the right time to buy lithium stocks, but would you prefer LAC? I already own ALB. Thanks as usual.

Q: Hello, I have a small position in these four stocks and I'm up about 10 to 15% with all of them. I'd like to sell one to free up some funds. In which order would you recommend selling if you had to? I realize this is only an opinion and not advice. Thank you!
