Q: 2025 just around the corner so looking to ensure I have the right exposure to stocks that can outperform the index. Which would be your top 3 stocks out of the group?

Q: The HVAC industry as a whole seems to have done well but many businesses now seem to be very richly valued...what is your view of that area going forward?

Trane has been a great investment. It is now 5% of my portfolio; given its valuation, if it was you, would you hold, trim or exit?

Or if you see this area as still having potential, rather than adding to TT, do you think SPX or CARR would be good options? Any others come to mind?

Q: I am still toying with RRSP strategies - I have about 50% of my RRSP in US funds and 50% in Canadian funds. I plan on starting to draw my RRSP down in January and need about an 8% annual return, including dividends and growth for the next 10 years. I have slowly been rolling my Canadian side toward your income portfolio, and am about half-way there. On the US side, I hold the above positions. What are your thoughts on the following - mirroring your income portfolio with the Canadian side, and on the US side hold a combination of ETF's/Equities, or just ETF's. I have been actively growing my RRSP (with success thanks!) But hope to be able to spend less time on it once I retire. The above idea means, for the Cdn side, I can continue to follow your moves on the income portfolio. For the US side, I will continue to monitor/rebalance, but I don’t want it to be a daily task - please suggest a tactic, including whether to mix equities/ETF's, or just go to one or a few ETF's, and please suggest holdings in either tactic. I have been holding ATS for a while and bought it around $55 in a registered account. Yesterday reading your answer to one of our member's questions, you mentioned about "we like ATS' business but it has had some fundamental issues over the last year..." could you please elaborate it a bit more for me to understand what kind of fundamental issues? any other better name or names in the sector to replace ATS that has some fundamental issues? Q: Hello 5i...with respect to Cdn Industrials...I am looking to consolidate 9 positions into 6 to 7 holdings...thaey are ( largest to smaillest holding ) WSP, TFII, EIF, ATS, CJT, HPS.A, TRI, TVK, DRX, I am looking for some sort of combo of stable growth ( I have good gains in WSP and TFII and will hold, but could trim ) and potential exceptional growth. Would appreciate if you could rank based on growth and how you might see a consolidation effort for these.

One option being considered is to move completely out of CJT and /or ATS to US industrials and looking at potentials FIX or TT... would like your opinion on this move and if you have preference for one or another suggested potential US industrial ( I already hold AXON )

Q: Hi, Could you please provide more details on Quanta Services, as a niche operator in Power Infrastructure sector. Why do you consider it as one of your best picks in the sector ? How is its debt and current valuation ? After recent earnings of May 2, stock has gone up from $255 to $285, before pulling back briefly yesterday to $280. Would you be comfortable to start a position at current level or wait for a better entry point ?

Q: I read about this company recently and bought a 1/2 position.
In reviewing a 1 year and a 3 year and 6 month chart fix out performed apple, MSFT,meta,AMZN . Which for an industrial company I found interesting.
My question , did something unique occur in the past 3 years for this outperformance and if not does the future look as bright

Q: Can u pick your 3 best choices and why for a long term hold in this market area? Is it too concentrated to own all of them? Are there any CDN examples of these home builder companies you recommend?

Q: I’m looking for some niche type ETF’s that would have companies that supply electrical parts,/equipment suppliers for the electrical infrastructure build that many people are suggesting is coming. It would possibly hold companies like WIRE.
Also if there is an ETF that would contain companies that will benefit from the large data centres that AI companies will require to be built. This ETF would hold companies like FIX.
If there are none than maybe you could drop a few names under each category. HPS.A has been a great find. Thank you. Looking for others in the same field.
