Q: Good morning

Could you give me your current analysis of this company. They appear to be in the right space.
Looking at taking an initial position in my tfsa. Would you recommend at today's price.

Q: please comment on the result of BECN is it a good buy at this level

Q: Over the last decade, I have kept 50% of my portfolio in a US money market fund which now pays 2.27% (TDB166). It has paid as low as 0.05%.

The rest of the portfolio is in a US market index fund which tracks the S&P500 (SPY).

I am happy with the results that this effortless approach to investing produces but am concerned about the US money market fund since the US dollar is so high. Should I get into a Canadian dollar money market fund? Can you suggest any?

Q: What are your thoughts on this company. Public for about a year, new drug recently received US and Cdn. Approvals, price reacted well.

Q: I have held TOU for some time and am disappointed in the performance to date (and of late) and am in a tax loss position. Do you think it's time to sell and look for better opportunities? Do you think it's "necessary" to hold any energy stocks at all in an otherwise diversified portfolio?

Q: Hi Just a follow up on my question re ETF's in Tax Advantaged Accounts
I neglected to add VGT and XLP and are in my non registered account or taxable account.
Would you have any suggestions to change and to what to make them more tax friendly.

Q: Just listened to Ross Healy on Market Call tonight, with regard to Vermilion. He is saying the stock is only earning $1.05 per share and paying out $2.76. Has a share value at $24.00 per share. Other analysts have different analysis on the stock and buy rating like 5i. Please explain the difference in opinion.

Q: Please comment on the recent quarter and the prospects for 2019 for VNR and RUS.

Q: Hi 5i, Please comment on Russel Metals recent quarter. Initially the market seemed to like things but stock fell quite a bit Friday afternoon and again today(Mon.).
Nice dividend, strong results, cheap stock, good management, is it the tariffs, the cyclicality or something else.

Q: This is comment in reference to a Question by Bryan:
It would be more beneficial for Bryan to have the other spouse as the successor to the RRSP (only spouse can be successor and basically the TFSA money transfers into TFSA of the spouse - no contribution limit affected). They can then have the beneficiaries if the successor has predeceased the account holder. I thought this might be something that Bryan and/or other members in similar situation can consider. Thanks.

Q: My wife and I are 66 years old. We each have a TFSA which we are trying to maximize. These would be the last two accounts we would ever take money out of. Our children are the beneficiaries so these are long term accounts - hopefully! We each have RRSPs and share a non-registered account we use for income. We don't have any fixed income but do have enough cash to last us 3 years. No pensions, but are quite diversified in a number of blue chip stocks.

Between the two of us we have PHO, SIS, TOY, BNS, TSGI. None of which has been very good lately but we are patient. We have enough money for two more positions, and think it would be prudent to add two, more stable, names. OTEX, BOYD, GC ? Suggestions?

Q: Yahoo shows 14 analysts est. for 2019 earnings as;
LOW-$1.90 HI-$3.27 AVG-$2.48
This seems very strange for such a big Co. & a decline for 2019?
Pls. adv. what your sources show for 2019.

Q: I own PEY - would you continue to hold with the low P/E and dividend being well covered but the trend is not good or would you sell and if so, why would you sell? If you recommend selling, what would you buy with the proceeds and why?

Q: Hello 5i,
I am down 11% in each Power Corp (POW.TO) and Power Financial (PWF.TO) I am holding each for the dividend as a value investor at 72 years with a 10 year outlook. You had suggested replacing them with BCE or something else in answer to someone else's question. Would that apply in my circumstance or should I just keep holding for dividend?

Q: Hi,

I like the look of NFI at the moment. In order to free up some cash I was going to sell 1/2 of my position in XTC (so after the transaction I'd have a half position in XTC & a half position in NFI).

Q: The last KWH.UN dividend was paid on January 15th. Will the final dividend be paid on April 15th or at a later date, depending on the closing date? Thanks.
