Q: Hi. I understand recently about the partnership conditions for Canadian investors. Td wants me to get a usTIN number. If I don’t do that what happens? Do I get fined? Is my security confiscated? Do I end up in jail? What happens if I just sell the security now?
Q: hi 5i
Big drop today in 3M ...would you consider this an opportunity to initiate a small position....I read a recent 5i response about contracting valuations and share ownership driven by attractive dividends...does this hold...how do you view dividend safety. and what entry point would you consider ..
thx

Q: Greetings:
Starbucks seems to have good growth, and cash flow, but negative shareholder equity like most of the tobacco companies. It also seems like they have a problem with CEO'S. Mr. Schultz has to be on call to return when needed. Presently he is retiring from the board. I notice that some members of 5i have shares. Good investment and growth expected? or will it be flat until it finds its bearings.
Thanks, Ben.
Q: May I please have your opinion of Energy Fuels? Are there other uranium stocks of similar size that you would prefer? I have a full position in CCO.
With appreciation,
Ed
Q: I have held CP for some time now. Although it has fluctuated somewhat, it seems to be range bound. Do you see it having much potential to increase? I am starting to consider swapping it for FSV, which seems to just steadily increase. Any comment on that switch?
Q: I have a few oil & gas producers, actually, mostly oil. These stocks are the biggest weight on my portfolio, some down significantly. I have heard different comments on the outlook for oil...some bullish (eg seasonal factors), some bearish ( large US shale production. What is 5i's best assessment of where things are going for oil stocks?
Q: Dear 5i team.
What are some of the questions you would ask before making an investent in a startup that is private at this stage. (consumer products co)
The goal of the startup is to go public ASAP, assuming this means 1 yr or so.
Appreciate your input.
Q: Everyone, Richard asked a question about advisors, I don’t use one and never will. They only care about your money so they can have more assets under management- which is a status symbol for THEM. I used four advisors for two years fifteen and sixteen years ago and during our six month conversations I realized I knew more than them! So I started doing research and buying / selling on my own. I only buy the best of the best. Best decision I made and I am making more than twice the average rate of return most people are earning by buying and holding only good quality stocks. Staff at 5iresearch helps me every day with honest responses to questions. My thoughts Clayton.
Q: What are your sentiments on TSLA for the next 6 months? Buy / Sell / Hold?
While they do complete on quality and features, they are now also competing on price; obviously challenging for margins. Also Elon's comment about control are concerning, certainly suggesting conflict. I'd be OK sitting this one out if the 'story' will not clarify for some length of time. Energy storage systems to the rescue?
Q: Are there any particularly compelling resource stocks that are worth buying currently. I have zero exposure to commodities and I am fine with that, but I am open to your recommendations, either CAD or US. I am a moderate-to-agressive investor.
