Q: Hi, I've heard that over the long term, dividends make up the most significant portion of one's stock market gains. Is this true? When I look at my winners, (CSU for one), it's not, but in any case, could you list 3-5 of your current favorite dividend growers?
Thanks as always, Rod

Q: For the last 5 years LNF has done nothing. Yes it hs a dividend of 3.8%. But cheap as it is do you see it advancing much? EMA, EIF, and NWC pay higher dividends and have advanced quite a bit since bought. Would it be suggested that any of these three could replace LNF or should I hang on to LNF in the hopes that it may spring to life?

Q: Hi. I'm currently over weight in Consumer Defensives (BYD, PBH & PRWM) and under weight in Industrials (WSP, TFII, STN & SIS).
I'm thinking of selling PRMW and buying EIF. Based on future prospects do you think this trade makes sense. I intend to hold for a few years. Thanks!

Q: Down 15% on EIF in a cash account. Trying to decide if I should sell for a tax loss and rebuy in the new year...or if the stock will rally in the run up to Christmas. Your thoughts please on whether I should sell/rebuy and - if so - what you would use as a proxy. Thank you.
Q: Another tax loss question. Currently down 19% on EIF and 11% on NPI in a non-registered account. (Interesting to note analysts are giving both 'strong buy' recommendations.) First, EIF. Would you sell, sell and repurchase, or stand pat? And if your recommendation is to sell and repurchase, would you repurchase before year end or wait 'til the new year? With regard to NPI, would you sell and repurchase? Stand pat? Or replace it with something like H? (BIP and BEP already held). The goal with both stocks is income with some growth. Thank you.
Q: An analyst recently reported that new contracts for EIF in medivac and maritime surveillance are coming on board in 2025 and will bring a "huge" increase in income as well as profits? First, are these contracts set in stone? And second, do you think these contracts will in fact make a "huge" difference in EIFs growth and stock price? Finally, is it worth buying the stock now in anticipation of this growth?

Q: Time for another dividend hike and another record quarter at earnings release Thursday after hours?
Q: Can you please provide a brief analysis of risk for this one, maybe especially with respect to their balance sheet and whether you know anything about any debt obligations that may incur higher rates at refinancing, valuation now vs historical P/E, potential headwinds etc.? I rode it up and right back down, just a little concerned about where the floor is, it is a bit of a smaller cap than I usually commit to for the full position I have. Thank you.
Q: Re: Your contacts at the recent Eif Analysts day- what did they have to say ?
Q: EIF: on a TTM period appears to have a lot of debt. and high pay out ratio with low ROE. I was thinking of buying it or BCE (I realize totally different companies). I bought EIF for myself in 2020 - so happy with results and may buy more? Comments please. She owns T in her non-registered account for very long time.

Hamilton Utilities YIELD MAXIMIZER TM ETF (UMAX $13.30)
Q: In reference to your answer today regarding selling the 4 stocks to replace with UMAX, you state that UMAX is “ fully invested in utilities “. I do not believe this to be true as it holds industrials such as WCN, CP, CN , and pipelines and phone companies, which may have a deep moat but I do not class as utilities. I bought this etf for its selection of solid large cap companies across several sectors. True utilities in this ETF are FTS, EMA, NPI, H, ( 30 % of total etf ). The name of the etf is a bit of a misnomer.
Thanks. Derek.
Thanks. Derek.

Hamilton Utilities YIELD MAXIMIZER TM ETF (UMAX $13.30)
Q: In my RRIF, where income with some growth is the aim, I am considering replacing one or all of EIF, SPB, PKI, CRR.UN with UMAX ETF. In what order would you sell ( I believe it’s best to spread this out over the next 6 months) ? Is there any stock you would keep or is a definite sell ? This will double the portfolio’s income and offset the rising mandatory withdrawal . This will also increase my portfolio’s composition of large cap industrial and utility companies. Your opinion on this approach is appreciated. Thanks. Derek.
Q: Hi will any of your representatives be attending Exchange Income Days today or tomorrow?
Cheers
