Q: In recent years, and especially during Covid, the central banks have effectively been printing money to fund the national fiscal deficits. In theory, governments are to repay the central bank for their bond purchases. However, there is a possibility that governments will choose to write off these debts (as is being recommended now by many economists). Should the governments write off these debts, what investments do you feel will do well in this environment, and which will not do well? Would a write off not have the effect of diluting the currency?

Looking for a etf that is materials related with no gold or silver. One that basically covers construction materials like iron ore, copper, aluminum, wood etc. Is there such a thing?

Q: Hello,
2 part question regarding the above companies for a 30 year old investor with a 10+ year hold horizon:
1. In a TFSA account I currently own BNS and BUS. Would you swap these 2 out for LSPD, KXS and DND today? If so, would you please rank the 5 companies in order of preference in a TFSA account?
2. I have some cash to deploy in my RRSP account. I was wondering if you could also rank the following companies to buy today once again for a 30 year old with a minimum holding period of 10 years: BAM, BIP.UN, BIPC (in case you think that one is better than the other in an RRSP), BNS, XIU and VEQT. I would be able to purchase 3 of the 6 mentioned so what would be your preferred mix in this case?
Thanks for your help!

Q: What is you opinion of this company and future growth
Q: Hi,
Could I please have your opinion about the iShares Core 1-5 Year USD Bond ETF (ISTB). YCHARTS shows a 1 year return of 2.59%, MER of 0.06% and AUM of $4.856B. Shown as well is a 47% allocation to 1-3 year bonds and 43% to 3-5 years with only 6% long-term.. Do you think this is a solid choice for a US bond fund if one is looking for an intermediate term fund?
Thank you, Michael

Q: Do you have suggestions of companies (hardware or software, small or large cap) that would stand to benefit from increased investments to upgrade the US electrical grid (regional or local) in view of the Texas event and the general increase in electrical demand due to EV use?

Q: I would like your comments on FLGT's Quarter and future guidance. It looked like a blowout to me but the market reaction seems quite muted at the time I am writing this. Guidance is also impressive, calling for revenues of $800m in 2021 a 90% yoy increase after an impressive 2020. FLGT has great margins of around 50%, so 4X next years sales tells us its trading around 8 times next year’s expected earnings….8X forward P/E is what you might expect on a sleepy, slow-growth stock. What am I missing, or is this simply being ignored on a bad market day? A Buy?
