Q: What is your opinion of the closing of the $7.9 million flow through for Wallbridge Mining? It looks like Eric Sprott has increased his holdings?
Q: Why did PAT take such a hit after the deal with LAFC was announced?
Q: Hello, I'm looking to sell Vermilion for tax loss purposes and am looking to maintain similar sector exposure by replacing it with Whitecap. Do you think this a reasonable move or is there a name you would prefer over Whitecap in this scenario? Or would it be better to simply wait the 30 days and repurchase Vermilion? Thanks and Happy Holidays!
Q: WELL is moving up to the TSX in January. Any plans for a report?
Q: Hello:
Can you explain to me the difference between
ATD.A & ATD.B. I am looking for a low dividend
payer that has capital gains potential. Any other
suggestions that might fit this criteria. Thanks &
Happy Holidays.

Q: URGENT: Hello Peter. I hope that this question is timely enough for you to address today or tomorrow, because I need something else for my wife's Christmas stocking! My wife has just retired, will have some significant money coming in soon from the sale of a property, and has a developing interest in investing and the markets. I'm hoping to find a good, 'reader-friendly' investing book to give her, but most (e.g., Wealthy Barber) are geared to lifelong investing habits and not for retirement. I'm hoping to find one that also focuses on things like: investing from a retiree's perspective, annuities, strategic use of RRIFs, how to best draw down from different types of accounts to minimize tax, travel and related issues (insurance; retaining OHIP or non-residency issues, etc), charitable giving, insurance for unexpected health issues, etc. Are you aware of any that you might recommend? Thanks!

Can you tell me what Shopify’s expected earnings are for 2020 vs 2019?

Q: I'm a bit confused. The Nasdaq is up. All the markets are generally up. Tech in the US is up. But ALL Canadian tech stocks are down, and in some cases down heavily. What would account for this?
Q: Happy Holidays. If FedEx and SHOP merged, do you think SHOP shares would drop?
Q: Why is CSU down significantly today. Would you add a small position or wait.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: Thinking of adding another gold streamer after dropping OR for a tax loss so which ones to buy back, add or add to or do I go with quality? Currently have small holding of WPM and KL and up on both. Total gold position is 3.14%
Q: how to determine the value of the company such as mmx ? and what is the value of it ?
Q: Can you comment please on YGR regarding the debt load versus the leverage if the underlying energy prices move upward and the healthy insider buying. Am trying to weigh how the company fares under different scenarios.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi,
What are your thoughts on GMP capital? My average cost was $2.80 and the price has declined a fair bit. I was thinking there may be some tax loss selling right now, but was thinking of holding. Is this a bad plan or time to buy more?

Q: Hi,
Could you please share your opinion? It has been showing some upward momentum recently. I know this has been taken out of the balanced portfolio. Do you see any positive changes since then ? Thanks

Q: Hi, I have owned/followed this company for years but not sure how the stores ended up being Circle K instead of Mac's? See very few Mac's anymore?

Q: Season's Greetings to all ay 5i,
There seems to be negative news for WTE with Teck moving to contract CN into Neptune Terminals. I'm a little confused about this. There is only a finite amount of commodities than can go thru the inner harbour of Vancouver. CN/CP only have so much rail capacity as well and if CN will be moving 10M tonnes of coal into Neptune it will be at the expense of other commodities/products. There is also a New Grain Terminal coming on line soon that will demand 4-6M tonnes of product to be delivered (by CN) and shipped. The port has been congested for years and I know from my 40 years experience working in the port that further vessel traffic will be limited.
Grain, as you know is regulated, so that becomes an issue for CN in that they will face huge backlash from farmers if grain doesn't get moved. My question is;
Is this a play to get better pricing from WTE by Teck?
Do you think that investing in WTE at current levels is a solid long term play?
Thank you

Q: As Aurora owns approx 20% of Alcanna what effect, if any, will the failing business of Aurora have on the share price of Alcanna.
Q: For most of the year traditional bricks and mortar retailers have pretty much been left for dead .... other than the discount chains like TJ Maxx .... and the LULU's of this world.
Recently the XRT and stocks like M has been on a tear.
Two questions :
1. Could you justify buying M now based on consumer strength in the US, valuable real estate and apparently a "safe" dividend of about 9%.
2. What do you think of buying the XRT here.
All of this for a diversified portfolio looking for some G and good income.
Thanks
