Q: What are your top 10 Canadian and top 10 US stocks for a long term hold?

Q: Hi,

May I request your expertise in assessing the Risk VS Reward IF I were to buy one of the following stocks, (plan to buy and write covered calls on) :
NVDA/GOOG/AMZN/MSFT/VRT/CRWD/INTC

If this strategy is profitable, I plan to hold this stock for a long time provided it doesn't get called away!

Low Risk/Low Reward =1.
High Risk/High Reward=10

Q: Greetings. Seeking a TSX traded in Cdn dollars ETF non-hedged that holds as a majority of its portfolio US equities the likes of AMZN AVGO MSFT PALO ALTO NETFLIX GOOG META NVDA or most of them and similars since wishing to sell a variety of these types of equities currently held as hedged CDRs in a registered account. Methinks the CDN dollar is destined for a fall at some point so wishing to remove CDR hedging. Please comment if this doesn't agree with your view aside from the difficulty in predicting currency moves. Thank you for any suggestions.

Q: Just discovered something called CDRs traded on the TSX/NEO. Fractional shares in large US companies. NEO shows a list of about 40 of the most watched companies, priced between $10 and $30, all Can$ hedged.
For someone with a smaller pot, are these worthwhile, and why are they rarely talked about? Cheers!

Q: With the downgrade Microsoft has been dropping these last few days. Is this worrisome, should I take my profit and run or will this calm down and Microsoft will resume gaining? I take it there is nothing wrong with the company, just market sentiment which will change with a little time.

Q: Hello Folks:
We currently hold a higher position in energy producing / servicing stocks and are considering 1. adding to our current GE aerospace or 2. adding to our current tech sector of Amazon (not really tech?) and Microsoft by purchase of Navidia. We do
not currently have large portions of either GE, Microsoft or Amazon. We have owned NVDA in the past. What are your top 3 tech picks, is Amazon also a good choice and how do you see GE upside?

Q: I am rewording a question I recently submitted in the hopes of satisfying 5i's evident concerns with regard to liability.

Theoretically speaking, if YOUR tech holdings were about 19% and included LMN, MSFT, NVDA and UBER...and if YOU held an additional 18% in 'tech like' stocks such as GOOG, AMZN, and VRT....would you personally consider yourself to be overweight, underweight or nicely balanced in terms of your personal tech holdings? Q: In response to a recent question, you had suggested an appropriate portfolio weighting for the tech sector would be 20-30%. Strictly speaking, I hold about 19% tech ( LMN 4.5%, MSFT 5.55%, NVDA 6.5% and UBER 2%). That said, I also hold an additional 17.6% of what I would consider 'tech-like' stocks: GOOG 5%, AMZN 6.75%, and VRT 5.85%. Would you suggest I am overweight, underweight or nicely balanced in terms of my tech holdings? By way of context, I would describe my investment style as risk-managed growth. Thank you.

Q: Sold 1/2 my portfolio (except CSU, TOI, LMN) at the end of August. First week into Sept and I'm looking smart. While I think it's still too early, when and how do I get back into market? Q: The PE for this stock currently is around 43 and analysts are forecasting 30.5%/yr. growth in earnings over each of the next 5 years. Everything I read suggests this mag 7 stock is poised to go up and do phenomenal. To grow EPS 30.5%/yr for each of the next 5 years seems extremely optimistic to start with but even if it does the PEG ratio is 1.41 which suggests over valuation. The other mag 7 stocks with the exception of NVDA have much lower EPS growth rates at 20% max and dropping from there. How can one rationalize buying this stock now. Thank you. John

Q: I’ve heard that data centre spending between now and 2030 will fall into three buckets: CPUs, Ai accelerators, and infrastructure, where CPUs are the slowest growing segment.
