Q: I read Peter's article on "Five summertime US stocks picks to set and forget" and great article by the way. I wonder if Peter would have 5 Canadian stocks picks that I could set and forget for the summertime. Tnx.

Q: I live and Calgary and have spoken to quite a few people in the industry and they are saying similar information.
Essentially that declines in wells are going to out stripe the demand in the next year creating more demand then supply. Many companies around here have been underinvesting in new production due to the market conditions.
I am quite cautious on oil and gas companies as they haven't performed well over the last 7 years.
Are these people overly optimistic or is there a potential trade and opportunity to go up to 10% weighting in Oil and Gas?
If so, do you think CPG, WCP, and MEG would be good exposure?

Q: To my knowledge both of these companies are in the specialty insurance business. Given that TSU is wholly owned by BAM.A (3.5% of my overall holdings; overlap concerns?), which do you prefer for a conservative investor and why. What would be their outlook considering an post-COVID opening world and over the next 5 yrs? Is there another name you prefer more in this specialty space?

The Economist (june 5th) reports on EV companies vying to compete with Tesla. It reports that a Chinese co. is now selling EV in Norway.

Q: Hello,
I have sold ZEM in my CDN RRSP account. I am going to transfer these funds to my USD RRSP. Which ETF would be an equal replacement for my USD RRSP keeping in mind tax efficiencies? I would like the US ETF to be as similar as possible to ZEM.

Q: Hello 5i, a report from RBC came out this morning with their ''need to have'' tech companies. Their Outperform ratings were on COUR, DBX, DCT, DOCU, JCOM, PEGA, TWLO and PEGA. Are you familiar with those companies and could you please mention your (2) favourites of the list and why? I own DOCU and TWLO already. If your preference is the same, it'll be a relief. If they aren't, I would open a new position since I have room for another one in terms of my allocation. Much appreciated, thank you.

Q: Hi there , how safe is FSZ for its dividend and the stability of its share price ? (inverse of volatility) , when compared with a "utility" like BCE. if BCE is 10, in a scale of 1 to 10 , FSZ would be ?
it appears that FSZ has serious prospects of increasing its earnings in the future , why is so ?

Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on holdings in the portfolio. All have been winners - I am fairly prudent yet always looking for trends and will hold long term. I don't rely on dividends though they are preferable. Would you make changes for another holding(s)?

Petroleum: TOU, FRU, ENB
Finance: GWO, NVEI
Steel: STLC, LIF (Watching cyclical trends)
Auto: MG
Mining: CXB, KL, (TRQ - I expect an upturn in 2 quarters)
Software: CTS, LSPD, TOI
Healthcare: WELL

Q: As a TD Waterhouse user, I received a notification from them this morning that TD had pulled the Q4 IPO. TD gave no reason, and I've been unable to find any other information. I hadn't asked to subscribe to it, but I'm curious about what happened since it was so widely touted. Do you have any insight? Thanks.
