Q: These companies are all operating a cloud platform that delivers a range of network services to business world. Are they basically similar so they are competing against one another? If I am interested in this space, should I buy them all in equal weight? or just one or two names? Your thoughts please. Thanks.

Q: Is BUS on sale ? I have shares since 2018 and bought more in August at $0.31. Now around $0.95, people are expecting something other than the few recent sales. Do you know if insiders or funds added shares since the Paradox press release in September? What do you think would be a fair value for the stock, compared to their competitors? Thanks a lot.

Q: Hi 5i team,
I notice a couple of questions on gaining access to the Canadian Financial Summit. I attended that, typically not live, but over the following day or so. Thanks very much for the free ticket. Some great presentations.
I may be mistaken on this and, if so, please disregard this note. Each day’s presentations were available for 48 hours after that particular day, then locked down. That was the free ticket. On Sunday night, all days were locked down. To view the presentations today, you have to buy the All Access Pass for $197 (which was on sale over the weekend). The All Access Pass also gives you some bonus documents in the Lifetime Access Library, I understand.

Q: I intend crystallizing a loss on CNQ and was trying to decide on buying a company in roughly the same business so that I stay in the market segment. SU might be the obvious choice but have some already. Can you suggest some alternatives from the those noted or others, preferably with a divided.
Btw I find the dividend updates very useful.
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i
In a recent question re adding to a well balanced TFSA you had offered 12 securities from your income / balanced portfolios that are relatively lower risk and longer holds. I was delighted to see that my RRIF currently has 8 of those full positions.(also well balanced)
I have accumulated a larger cash position due to dividends in my RRIF and wonder what 5 securities for long term (forever) you might consider to add at this time. Thanks for the advice. Peter

Q: I own long term positions in CSU, KXS, DSG, ENGH and GIB.A in taxable accounts. And several smaller positions in other US and Canadian tech stocks. GIB.A performs ok but not great, especially when compared to the other positions. Is it worth keeping as a major position or would you suggest selling it and allocating the funds into the other major tech holdings?

Thanks.

Q: Taking into account AD as an income trust, I presume distribution would be taxed as income and would be best in RRSP whereas TCL dividend would receive dividend tax credit and best in nonregistered accounts. To me that seems at highest marginal rate that these would provide similar incomes in above situations. Is this correct?
Secondly, do you recommend one above the other?
Income, safety of dividend and capital are the most important considerations. I prefer a long term hold and can tolerate a moderate amount of volatility.
Thank you for this great service.

Q: I hold a 1.5% position in both. Would like to increase one or possibly both to 2-2.5%. Which do you think has best long term prospects? (Both have a nice dividend)
Neither seem to be significantly risky to me. Thank you for the great service.
