Q: Tax loss season is an opportunity to shop for bargains. Can you name 2 or 3 that are excessively beaten down, therefore likely to bounce and rise further on fundamentals?

Q: Hi,

After any stock breaks to all time highs, such as Lumine and Boyd lately, I know this is a sign of strength of the stock and I know you like when this happens. If I wanted to add to a current position or initiate a new one, what factors do you look at in order to buy?

For example, the companies may have had good earnings lately or analysts may have upgraded their price targets and initiated coverage. I know there are a lot of different unknown factors at work in the market, but what would cause investors to pay up and drive a stock up to new highs with no current news? Do you look at volume on the breakout or mainly just long term fundamentals? Do you look for the stock to hold that new level before buying? I'm not a trader, but more longer term focused investor now. I'm always of the belief that there are smarter investors out there that have more information than others, which causes stocks to be mispriced. Thoughts?

Q: I currently hold XHC to give me some global health care exposure. It is ~ a whole position for me and is currently down 4.5%. My other Healthcare stocks are Well and Abbvie.
Do you have some other healthcare names that are solid but growing. With or without dividend.

Outside of Canada to get USA or World exposure.

Or would you stick with XHC?

Q: When you sell one of your 30 day covered call options, do you ever buy back the option yourself? I know it would depend upon the potential of the stock? But, say it was a stick that you might have confidence in, Nvidia, for instance?

Concerning the CGX recently announced sale of Player One Amusement Group...Do you consider this positive or negative for the company and what are your expectations for this company, are they really as bad as share price seems to suggests?
Share price is not far off Covid lows when business was zero...Are they effectively managing increased interest rates cost on current debt or is that a big ;problem also.

Current longtime shareholder pre-covid and trying to make decision hold or sell, my time line is 2 year time frame.

Q: I know you don't like comparing ETFs to single stocks...but I'm going to put a question out there anyway. I currently hold TELUS in a non-registered account. As I've held it for a very long time, I'm up 20%, but I feel the stock is stalled for a number of reasons. Given that I bought it for the dividend as well as some growth, I would appreciate your advice on trading it for HMAX. Please compare total estimated growth for both T and HMAX over the next 3-5 years. Additionally, with interest rates expected to begin falling next year, how would that impact the price of HMAX? Q: Hello, Lumine shares have rallied almost 20%, since TD initiated coverage on Nov 14, with a BUY rating and $28 price target. Based on its present valuation and growth prospects (5-10 years), vis-a-vis, CSU/TOI, would you be comfortable increasing current position size of 1.75%, even after the run up ? Or would you suggest to add to 3.50% TOI weight ? ( CSU, already being a large weight ). Thank You

I am considering to let go of Ford and Magna as I don't see an EV catalyst for Ford and I am not sure about Magna since the Apple car rumour has disappeared !!!!
If I was to sell both, I like to add to one of the other tech companies ( listed above). On an evaluation basis which one is cheaper and that it has the forward momentum to excel in terms of their existing products and AI?
