Q: With the general pounding the markets took in October, the glass half full sees opportunity. My portfolio is particularly light in Materials, Telecom and Utilities, and I'm looking to top up in a registered account. What companies look attractive to you today based on undue overselling?

Q: You have SPB in your income portfolio.I have it in my RRSP for the dividend which is now 6.87%.Is the dividend safe?
Would you prefer MX which yields 2.1%? Both stocks have dropped with the recent downturn and both are considered buys by TD.

Q: Earnings 52 Week Low
Yield (%) Price % Diff
Badger Daylighting 6.7 22.37 15.90
CCL Industries 5.3 52.01 5.59
Methanex 8.7 62.30 28.27
I'm looking at buying one of the above companies. Based on today's stock price, I am torn between what is a more useful metric, Earning's Yield (MX) or 52 week low (CCL.B) or a combo approach (BAD) for an entry point. In your view which metric is more relevant for a 5 year investment horizon?

Q: I asked this question yesterday, however it appears it was missed:
"I have some cash to allocate for RRSP & TFSA portfolios and would like your opinion for the above list for both CDA and US.
For RRSP: Which two from each CAD and US would you buy today (after the stormy few days) for a more conservative hold 3-5 years, that would potentially have less volatility while continuing to grow sales and earnings.

For TFSA: Which two from each CAD and US would you buy today for more growth opportunity and share appreciation in the next 3-5 years.
Please give your reasons for the ones you would choose without sector allocation considerations.
I currently hold TSGI & MX (down on both) but am ok with that."
