Q: The buyer of Dave Baasov's shares is one Tang Hao who now owns around 12% of the company. There is a rumour that he was involved with the deal by Baasov to take the company private. Have you heard anything about who this investor is?
Q: Hi there..
I currently own CCL.B as well as WPK. I am curious as to why you classify them as basic materials. It seems my bank has a different opinion. When I hit the analyze button on my investments through my direct investment site.. it says I am currently only invested 1.1% in basic materials... but when I classify the above stocks as basic materials I am weighted just fine.... thoughts? Are there any other basic materials you would recommend?
Thanks
Sue

Q: I am significantly down in my RSP in these two companies and was wondering if they are still a hold. I cannot sell for a loss but will be converting to a RIF soon, so it might be time to move on to a better dividend growth stock?? (same sector ??)

Q: Hi Peter and Team
Enjoyed your BNN show and picks as always!
I am reasonably balanced in my RSP with your positions in your growth and balanced portfolios but now, at age 68 have to convert my RSP to RIF in a few years. I am considering transferring most "in Kind" and would be looking at 10-20 stocks to hold that are good income generators. Would you consider listing 10 good stocks to continue to hold in a RIF ?
Should I try and hold more "conservative" dividend growers ?
Would you suggest I sell to cash and purchase larger positions of the financials, for example; or is it better to stay balanced?
Complicated question but I appreciate the advice as I have done quite well from you previous guidance
Thanks,
Peter

Q: Hi 5i
I'm interested in adding Altagas to my portfolio. I curently have 15 stocks which range from 4 to 8%....(AGU-BEP.UN-CAR.UN-CGX-CSU-KWH.UN-ENF-FTS-IPL-STN-SLF-T-TD-VET-WSP). This is a registered dividend/income account (rrsp). I would appreciate your view on either replacing a weak stock in this account or just adding to it. If you can think of a better stock than ALA i'm open for suggestions. Thanks Gilles

Q: I have been holding onto POT for several years. I am down about 50%, and this position has turned into a very small holding (about 0.5%), as my portfolio has grown significantly since I took the position many years ago. I was holding it up until now because it paid a decent dividend, and I held out hope that the company would rebound, but now with the dividend cut, the only hope that I have for the stock is that it might improve after the merger with AGU. If I sell, I would likely use it to increase my holdings in CSH.UN and GUD. Should I hold on, or just cut my losses?
