Q: Some of my weightings have become low and wondering which one of these currently would be the value to add to.

Q: So, I made a booboo.

I intended to purchase CTS in my TFSA (CAD) but I made the purchase in my TFSA (USD) account. I didn't think much of it, but turns out I seem to have purchased CTSDF on the OTCQX exchange (Over the counter).

It still reads as 'Converge Technology Solutions' but in USD and with a different ticker.

What did I buy and what should I do to make the switch?

Luckily, I'm up 18% in 40 days.

What is your feeling about Ford?, I am looking at p\e of 2 and a yield of 4.5 %, comparing it with Tesla, it seems like a much better buy, with them going into the ev market, with other car companies does that not put pressure on Tesla. I know that Tesla has a lead but others are pouring billions of dollars into the ev.

Q: Fidelity recently bought a large position in LSPD. Fundamentally every buy means someone sold. - someone believes and someone does not. What does that mean when a large brokerage house buys a large position. Is the buy for position to sell after an initial gain? A long position, to keep forever like the Quebec pension fund? I would like to ask a question regarding return of capital ("ROC") with some mutual funds. I am having a tough time getting my head around the actual logistics of how this works. Consider the following basis example:

I own 1000 units in Fund A. My ACB is $10 for an initial investment of $10,000. It is trading at $10. My yield is 5%, paid monthly. Let's assume that of this 5% yield, 4% is dividend, and 1% ROC.

Assuming AUM for the fund remain constant, and assuming that I continue to hold 1000 units, where does the cash come from to pay this 1% ROC? I am assuming that for it to be classified as ROC for tax purposes that it is neither income nor capital gains. And beyond my ACB being reduced, is there anything else regarding my initial investment that I need to be concerned about.

Q: Given that I sold this Purpose bitcoin fund for tax loss in Dec, can I replace it with an alternative company bitcoin fund (CIX) and not jeopardize the tax benefits? It has not yet been 30 days since the sale. Thanks,

Q: Your thoughts on these funds from Hamilton. Would be for an income portfolio. HYLD in an RRSP which will transition to a RRIF in next few years. HDIV would be held in a non-registered acct.
Yield is attractive but are they sustainable? Is a fund of fund and fees for Hamilton are stacked on top of fees for underlying ETFs.

Q: I personally feel the grocery stores are gouging Canadians like never before , this should give them great profits . Is there a ETF or specific company that one could invest in that hasn't already taken off , thanks and have a super 2023.

Q: MI's share price has recovered a little. Where do you think it will go from here and would you Buy, Hold or Sell at this point in time?

Q: Good morning 5i team!

May I please get your thoughts on ERF. I've held it for a while and have done well. I'm concidering rotating out of this name and shifting to either WCP, HWX or TVE all of which have better dividends and could run harder if oil catches a bid (as many oil bulls are expecting). Do you prefer any of these name over the others....or, stay the course. Thoughts?

Q: Enterprise Products is a Limited Partnership versus Sabine Royalty Trust, I have a general understanding of LP's but would like to know how a royalty trust would differ from an income and risk point of view. These are both listed on the NYSE. I do have holdings in EPD, not in SBR... yet?

I took in charge this portfolio and did not sell those positions to avoid loss on capital.
Very large position in 2 titles ( 25% + of a non registered portfolio alltogether),with 10-15% capital loss on paper.The objective of this portfolio is safety and long term revenues.Are those investment safe for long term ,and are the 6.55 and 6.75 coupons excellent numbers in the present context of rates etc..? many thanks J-Y
