Q: I have Trane but see recently, you've had positive remarks about Carrier. That together with the 25% withholding tax on the dividend due to Trane being European based makes me wonder if I should change to Carrier for the next few years?

I think Peter has been around long enough to remember December 1999 when TRP cut its dividend from 1.20 to .80 and the stock tanked to under $10. More recently ALA made a deal to buy WGL and issued shares at $31 ( I think Caisse depot or other big guys were in for $400 million). ALA went down to around $11 and recoverd to over $28 recently. So my question is: do you see any similarities to TRP or ALA turnarounds to think that AQN ($9.50) could follow a similar chart?

Q: Everywhere you look, GIC investing is the big topic of conversation and advice. If an investor wants to outperform the market, then you never buy into the hot investment themes. I see no reason why that rule should be broken now.

Q: On December 10, 2022 the value of my BAM.A shares was $71,000. On December 17, 2022 the market value of BAM was $11,173.00 and the market value of BN was $53,546 for a total of $64,719, a loss of approximately 9%. Did the value of Brookfield actually drop 9% in one week? If you have an explanation it would be appreciated. Thank You.

Q: The US authorities disapproved the Kentucky deal. Wasn’t it a good thing for the company stock given that the market hadn’t liked it in the first place? However, the stock is down today. Can you explain the reaction?

November 2022 Gsy sells 425,000 shares to raise 50million to aid in accelerated growth ..Ok I get that.

December 2022 , gsy announces it intends to buy back its shares . . I don’t get it
