- Cargojet Inc. Common and Variable Voting Shares (CJT)
- Chorus Aviation Inc. Voting and Variable Voting Shares (CHR)
Q: Which stock would perform better in this current market? CJT reported good results and seems to rise, whereas CHR went down despite steady revenues.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: With respect to Chorus' earnings and significant price drop, wasn't their a significant one time tax hit or am I reading it incorrectly?
Cheers

Q: Is it worth taking a flier on CHR? Its yield looks attractive but maybe it’s a sucker yield and the stock will lose altitude and crash.
Q: I recently read a article in the Globe and Mail about companies on the TSX that have a PEG ratio of less than 1.0. CHR was included in this article. It had a PEG ratio of 0.4. I realize there are many criteria to consider when investing but PEG ratio is one that I think is important. Based on his information CHR is either a screaming buy or the earnings growth rate is way out of whack. Which do you think and would you recommend CHR for long term investment (5 years or more)?

Q: Hello, I am a young retiree in my sixties I have a portfolio focused on growth while promoting dividends. I would like to add to the titles mentioned so that they reach 5% of the portfolio. Could you place them in order of preference according to these criteria with a horizon of 3 to 5 years. Feel free to suggest reducing or eliminate any of them to free some cash to add to others. Thank you

Q: Hello,
I currently own SRU.UN (SmartCentres REIT). I like the dividend but I am interested in capital growth as well.
Do you recommend keeping SRU.UN or to switch to CHR (Chorus Aviation) or EFN (Element Fleet Management) ?
Or, do you have a better recommendation for a stock which has has a good income, dividend growth and capital growth?
I have over a 5 year time horizon.
Thank you as always for the financial insights.

Q: Thank you in advance for your enlightened advice. Which seem to you the best investments. I am looking for a dividend in a non-registered account as well as growth for a term of 2 to 3 years. The weighting of my interest is 30% towards the dividend and 70% towards the growth. The companies I am looking at are:
AFN, BNS, CM, BIP.UN, CHR, ENB, EIF, FRU, MAXR, SMU.UN
Could you rank them in terms of preference and write down the ones you would avoid. Sector weighting is not a criteria.
thank you very much

Q: Hi Ryan & Peter,
I have started buying Chorus Aviation. It looks good to me after the equity raise @8.60, but the market keeps sending it down, to about 7.20. It seems to have good fundamentals and some growth in the leasing field. May I please have your opinion on this stock. Thank you, Terry

Q: Please deduct two question credits.
I would like to buy a small cap index fund. What do you recommend?
I hold CHR since last fall and it is not performing well. Would you hold or sell and if so, why?
Many thanks for your great work,
Jen

Q: I am thinking of adding these for income and noticed that none are listed in your Income Portfolio. How would rate these with respect to debt level, safety of dividend, P/E, potential growth, other metrics and management team? This is a long term hold and I can stand a fair bit of volitility.
Thanks for your excellent advice.
Thanks for your excellent advice.
Q: I am looking at these two small cap companies as an entry in to the aviation sector. Both pay a nice dividend. Please comment on the secureness of their dividend; quality of their balance sheet; growth prospects and company specific issues ( ie EIF short position).
Would you pick one over the other or neither?
Thanks
Derek
