Q: Hi 5i,
I have aprox. 20k in cash in my RRSP. I am trying to decide in what to invest it in. I am turning 37 years old this year. Should I be leaning towards a growth portfolio like I am doing with my TFSA?
What would be your top 5 stocks you would start your RRSP US or CDN with $20k cash?
I also have aprox $160k in a LIRA right now. How should i go about investing this money? Can you recomend me specific stocks or ETF's?
I have a small TFSA ($9,000 invested in: SLF, AQN, ABT, PHO & PEO). Will be adding $20,000 within the next couple of months and $10,000 in each of the next 3 years, which will take me to age 65, which is when I expect to retire. I will have a comfortable pension when I retire.
Would appreciate your suggestions on where to deploy the $20,000.
Q: Please analyze fundamentals and growth prospects of SIS as a good candidate to buy now... comment on comparable competitors that could also be suitable to what may be suitable to the grwoing aging population
Thankyou
Q: I have a full position in my TFSA, in all of these except COV. They are all up except for ENB. I have $12,000 to invest, would you add to the existing stocks or can you suggest others. Thanks for your input, great site. thanks Dorothy
Q: Please comment on the impact of Amazon's latest ambition : to be a major hospital supplier on Savaria corp. Savaria stock price has dropped this morning.
Thanks
Q: I have a bit of money to invest, these markets I enjoy seeing at times.
Where do you see the most value and the greatest growth going forward from today. I like dividends, but, Photon has no dividends, I can see great potential here even with out the dividend for Photon.
Where would you place your money if you looking to pick a winner in total return. Long time investor.
Inter Pipeline, Savaria or Photon.
Thanks
Q: I have a reasonable balance of these stocks in my TFSA. With the pullback, should I add to a laggard or introduce a new one? Open to ETF as well. Long term.
Have great weekend.
Paul
Q: Any comments regarding the movement of SIS with the marijuana sector I have been noticing a bit of a trend here obviously not to the same extremes.. does it just have to do with the 'healthcare' exposure?
Q: Hi 5i Team,
Please provide your stock recommendations (growth companies) for an investor who is interested in making regular fixed lump sum contributions to the same entities month after month . Time horizon for contributing to the holdings is 2-3 years.
Thanks for your great work!
Q: Having followed this company for some time a 5% drop in a day is absolutely not the norm even on a bad day, which this is not. It follows a 2.5% drop yesterday. Something is going on here other than normal trading. Are sell volumes very high and in high blocks indicating some major holder is dumping shares?
I have a unique and complex situation as I worked in the US for half my career and have investment portfolios in both countries with tax deferred, taxable cash and growth free accounts. In addition I carry some significant capital losses. I am 2 to 3 years away from retirement and although I should not be exploiting growth, the lure of using the capital losses is very compelling. I hold SHOP at a full position, KNX & DOL at half a position each, and GUD at a 1/4. My health care sector is also low.
I have a full position to buy with - GUD appears to be the only under performing choice at this time.
What else would you recommend I look at beyond the 4 candidates I have in my current scope.
Q: I am seriously considering adding 5000 NLN and 4000 PHO to my TFSA for growth opportunity over the next 1 to 2 years. Are the fundamentals sound for both these 2 companies and would you generally be OK with this choice. Do you have any better ideas of how to invest $10,000 in my TFSA with growth being my main objective???
