Q: Can you comment on ABBV latest quarterly report from last week. What did you like? Anything that you did not like. How is the debt position? Was there anything of particular interest to note from the call (either good or bad)? Do you still see it as a hold for the long term?

Q: Your last company report on Stella Jones was June 2021. Do you have an update in the works and what is your current perception and recommendation of the stock? Q3 results looked positive and holding steady. Would this be a good opportunity at this time to enter this stock or should I be looking elsewhere? Thanks

Q: At a business university event in Miami on the beach with Jim Kramer as the speaker entertaining questions from business students (held on Feb 3), 2 of many stocks they had done their homework on were ABNB and PTON and Kramer agreed with them and so I bought ABNB the following Monday. They do not look as good as these students thought they were. I have looked at ABNB from a previous question on 5i, but that was over a month ago. Do you still like ABNB. I have not noticed anything on PTON lately. What are your thoughts? Your thoughts are appreciated as always.
Q: I get confused when you rated slf over ifc for a 5 year hold, I agree it has a higher dividend, but you say slf will have better growth. Is not return on investment the growth that i should be measuring. ifc has blown slf out of the park in the last 10 years, not even close and they are still doing it right now.

Q: Why are renewable energy stocks like the three names above performed so poorly in the last year or two? Isn't all governments are promoting renewable energies and these stocks should flourish and not sink?

Q: I am trying to understand the tax ramifications of return of capital. In a simple case where a fund had increased in market value by 10% and has a yeild of 10% all of which is return of capital, there would be no taxes payable. However, if I sold the fund, there would be a total of 10% payable as capital gains. As a result I have always assumed that return of capital is the best yield as long as the market price of the fund has not gone down. Am I looking at this too simplistically?
Q: I see the positive case for TCN - with higher interest rates house affordability is reduced which should bolster the rental market. But some ponderings on TCN:
1. Doesn't TCN own their properties? If so, wouldn't their asset $ go down if/when house prices drop, which seems to be the current trend?
2. Do they carry a lot of debt compared to cash flow, and if so wouldn't their interest servicing costs be higher compared to their rental revenue?
Sorry for the lazyness, I haven't done a deep dive on them and pawning it off to you!

Q: Hi 5i, first thx for the earlier answer to a Q on MGs quarter. My question is on your view of the financial health and dividend sustainability?
Also, my feeling is that there is much pent up demand in the auto sector that didn't get fulfilled due shortages, supply issues. What would you see/forecast for 3 to 5 year hold in this company?
It's still above my cost and I love fire sales.
Thx

Q: Hello,
I just received a letter stating that PXG and many other Invesco ETF's are being delisted as at April 17, 2023.
Is it more prudent to sell prior to this date or let the delisting date be the selling date? Any advantages or disadvantages?
Thanks for your help.

Q: I bought these two stocks years ago when you had them in your portfolio, they have gone a fair bit south since then but I am seeing some interest from analysts in these being in a buy position again.
What are your thoughts on taking a position now given the sector they are in
