Q: Peter and Co. Q2 performance looked pretty good relative to expectations. The balance sheet looks like in good shape and going forward looks positive. What is the 5i opinion and is the stock today cheap relative to intrinsic value ? Much respect for you and your team's opinion.

Q: Hi Peter
In 2020, 70% of Q3 and Q4 distribution is marked as “Trust Income”. If held in a taxable account, what is the tax implication of this component? Is it treated as dividend or interest income?

Q: My wife has full positions of BMO, ENB, LIF, POW and RSI in her RRIF. She has some cash to deploy, looking for quality income stocks with decent dividend yields. Would you have any suggestions?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Q: Comparing and contrasting these two stocks which would be your choice?
Q: Hi 5i,
I have been watching Alaris and waiting to buy it. Today it broke through to a new 52 week high on above average volumes (247K vs Avg of 162K). Do you think the recent investment in Vehicle Leasing Holdings is the reason for this move up or some other reason? Do you consider the time is right to pick it up now? Thanks

Q: Hello. I continue to see positive comments from 5i about growth potential for GSY. I would like to add it my financial sector but that would require selling one of my current financial stocks in order to maintain the assigned weight. Of the stocks listed can you put in order the stocks you might sell to a\quire GSY. Alternatively, does it make sense to keep the current stocks, which are all doing well and for the most part paying dividends and just add GSY, changing the weightng of the portfolio?

Q: The listed companies each carry about a 1% weighing in my portfolio. There are no tax implications and I am positive on all of these. I am trying to reduce my overall holdings to about 25. I believe each company has its merits but I will never hit a home run with such a small investment. Can you advise which ones you would keep and consolidate or perhaps suggest something else to put all of the proceeds toward.
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Hi,
I own a bit of this stock and would just like to know what you think about its potential going forward. Do you foresee any problems on the horizon?
Thanks

Q: I'm heavy in financial stocks and would like to reduce the number of holdings. In what order from best to least would you rank these companies for a long term hold. I'd like to mention that this question function is a tremendous feature. Thanks for the excellent and speedy answers to my previous questions. I feel very supported.
Q: Your thoughts on their 1/4 and future, Thanks
Q: I have held Alaris pre conversion for some time now in a taxable account . Since the conversion to a UN , now tax wise I am wondering whether it makes sense to even hold it in a taxable account. I am considering selling for those reasons.
Could I ask for your opinions in regards to AD.UN specific composition for Canadian income tax purposes?
Thanks

Q: Hi Guys
I have owned Onex for quite a time but it is quite a bit of it's long time high of $100 and really languished this last year. I know the Westjet picture (small part of them really) and their time frame is long but even selling of some of their investments has not really done anything to Onex's stock price. I am wondering of swapping Onex out for Alaris given they both invest into private companies, or own them. The dividend would be nice too, although not really the main reason I would switch. Looking out 5 years and total return, which would you own?
Thanks so much
stuart

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor. I am normally a buy-and-hold investor for the very long term (RBC = blue chip, hold forever; while in a higher risk and associated lower weighting category, I hold Alaris forever). I currently hold SLF but have been reviewing/comparing its performance with BMO. The 10 year, 5 year and 3 year charts favor Sunlife, but the 1 year and shorter duration charts favor BMO. There appears to be a significant inflection point starting in November 2020.
Can you explain what occurred around that time? Is it simply the reflation of the economy favoring BMO relative to SLF? Do you see this continuing for the next period of time or do you see SLF playing catch-up?
Thanks for your help...Steve

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor. A question earlier today has motivated me to finally ask this question....been thinking of it for quite a while. It had to do with potential rising interest rates and your response was that dividend investors should be prepared for a bumpy ride in the short term (my paraphrase of your answer).
I own the above securities and for the most part trim-add around core positions that I hold for the long term. Is it possible to divide the above securities into two camps....one that would be "ok" in a rising interest rate environment and the other that I should consider trimming a bit or maybe selling? I am ok riding things out for the long term and do not normally react to short term volatility.
Thanks for your help....Steve

Q: Scr- Could explain what happened to the share price and the company vote on consolidation. Do you like this consolidation. The price was already strong I thought it was already enough for the us listing. I was also having very hard time trying to find the number to call for the consolidation meeting. No one answered at the company or investors relations.
Could you please also comment on the reasoning for the share price decrease for ad.un
