Q: Hi 5i. Assuming in Canada there is pent up demand for travel, and dollars sitting in deposit accounts, what Canadian equities in the travel or hospitality space would one consider investing in once Covid-19 abates and travel restrictions are rescinded?
Please list any Canadian equities that you think will benefit from Canadians traveling again. Thanks

Q: I would like your opinion on these 3 stocks. I know HAI has just IPO on Toronto Exchange but has been around for a few years. I notice AT has just had a good run and wonder if I should hold off or if it is a good company, just bite the bullet it shouldn't matter.
Also I notice MGNI is similar to the other 2 is that right?
Could you please rank them in order best to worst. if you were to buy 2 which and why?
Thanks John

Q: Hi Team,
I am looking to raise cash to buy CRWD. I need to sell/ trim something to raise cash to do this. Out of the following stocks, which would you recommend selling to do this: KXS, DSG, FB, Docu? Or...would you recommend this at all? Note that I currently hold KXS/ FB / Docu in 2 seperate accounts so I would probably only sell half positions in those ones. Thanks for your help!

Q: Alimentation Couche-Tard:
In a past question you had indicated that you did not feel this would become a "yield stock" in the future. So I am assuming there is still plenty of runway for this company with their present business model. Or do you think they will need to expand on this model to continue growth ? I know they've entered the Asian market. Perhaps this is their answer (?).
Final question. If shareholders are anxious for an acquisition, do they have an acceptable balance sheet at this time to pull one off in the near term?

Q: Thanks to your excellent recommendations 2020 has been a record year for my family’s portfolio. Thank-You.
However, I feel like I need to consolidate some of the tech companies I own so when their prices rise I will have more torque. Which of the above companies would you suggest I merge, drop, or even add? Growth is my only objective.
Enjoy the holidays.

Q: Hello. I'm preparing to buy a couple of tech stocks. Unity Software (U) is one; which is a go. Also, 5i seems to like it. But my Q is about Elastic N.V. (ESTC). One Q&A in 2020 with only a few others dating from 2019 in 5i's Q&A section. It looks interesting to me, but I'm not sure. I'd appreciate your updated look at the stock and your opinion about adding it (currently trading at all-time high -- but cash flow is still negative). Thanks!

Q: Good afternoon, team. This morning on BNN it was announced that CP is planning on developing a hydrogen locomotive. The G&M had an article identifying stocks it felt were positioned to make a pivot to the "hydrogen ecosystem". These seemed to be mostly drillers: HAL, BKR, SLB and, in Canada, PD and EFX. Also today my Economist arrived with an article hydrogen powered flight. Something seems to be happening here. I have had Ballard Power but it hasn't ever made a profit. Is XBC in this field? Can you identify two or three US and Canadian companies that might be good for investment now?
Q: With our governments announcement of plans to increase hydrogen production in Canada, can you suggest stocks or other areas of interest that may benefit from this?
Q: Hello Peter,
From what I have been reading: The cash positions within pension and other investment funds is at historically low levels. The trend over the past few weeks has been a shift from growth and technology to cyclical and value stocks.
On the flip side, the technology sector generally does well to start the new year.
I have done well with growth stocks mostly in the tech sector and have a couple of holdouts such as DXCM, AYX GH that have not performed. And I am also fully invested.
Should I look to raise cash by trimming my gains, which would be in tech, mostly US except for some CAD such as DSG, LSPD OTEX etc? Or, should I sell the growth holdouts for cash? Should I even raise cash and invest in cyclicals and value such as TT, RTX, US financials or any other you may suggest. Or should I just ride the growth portfolio into January and spring of 2021?
Looking for your magic eight ball answer.
Regards
Rajiv

Q: Please pick 1 stock for each of Canada, USA and Global. No restriction on sector.
( use as many credits as required)
A. Shorterm buy for 3 to 6 month, momentum type buy, get out once it slows.
B. Longterm hold growth stock ( 5+ years), but you expect a quick rise in the shorterm.
C. Longterm hold balanced stock ( somegrowth, stable adn growing div), maybe something that has been beaten up by covid that provides a good buy right now.
Along the lines of $ fell into your lap from a long lost aunt's will or you cashed out of the bet you placed on bitcoin so have some fun/free money ....

Q: Good morning. I bought a significant amount of AT 3 months ago, and am up 750%. This is my biggest winner ever, and it terrifies me! LOL Should I hang on for a 10 bagger, or start trimming? What does your short, medium, and long term crystal ball say about AT? Thanks.
