Q: Hi, I’m wanting to replace Trp as I’am losing confidence in the stock, and I already have Enb.
Sector not an issue, so could you recommend something from your income or balanced portfolio that you like going forward. I’m thinking more in line with a stock that may do better if we do get a market correction. (My first thought was something like ATD). Could you give 3 picks

Q: Just wondering what happens if:
1) If one buys equal amounts of the same Canadian listed company on TSE and NYSE in their respective currencies.
2) After 1 year TSE price has not changed but US/CDN dollar rate has increased.
3) If US listed stock is sold would there be a capital loss?

Q: Can you please provide your thoughts on the stocks listed for a RESP that will start to draw down in 4 years? In addition to these positions the portfolio has a good core position in CDN, US and INTL large cap ETFs. Any that you would get rid of now? If so, please provide alternatives (both Cdn and US).

I have a position in PPL and would lean towards switching to TRP since I see more growth in the name at the current valuation.

I owned ENB in the past mostly for its high dividend yield. Would you favor a switch in TRP or ENB and why?

Q: I sold TRP for tax loss selling and used ENB for proxy as you recommended.
I am seeing that TRP is rising much faster than ENB.
Is there any reason for this disproportional rise of TRP vs ENB .

Q: Good morning,

My intention is to move some US $ from my US Non Registered account to my CDN $ Non Registered account through a journal transfer.

I just sold a US ETF and with the proceeds purchased TRP.US

Q1. Are the TRP.US dividends paid in US $ or CDN$?

Q2. Do the TRP.US dividends generated in the US Non Reg Acct qualify for the Canadian Dividend Tax Credit?

Q3. Can I simply call my TD Direct Investing broker to move TRP.US from my US Non Reg Acct to my CDN Non Reg acct?
